WE/WH AoE Warband Builds — Is Anyone Actually Playing Them?

Is anyone actually playing AoE builds on WE or WH in warbands?

Carnage used to be one of the WE’s best mastery paths, but it was sacrificed so that WEs could gain access to an AoE build supposedly designed for warband play.

Personally, I’ve always seen WE as a class for solo roaming, scenarios, small-scale fights, and 6-man groups. I’ve never really considered joining a warband on my WE, and I suspect many other players feel the same way.

I’ve seen WEs joining warbands while leveling or gearing up, but what about the endgame? Are there any BiS players out there running AoE WE/WH builds in organized warbands? How viable are they, and more importantly are they actually fun to play?

They are extremely viable, to the point where I'd recommend at least 1 (good WE player) per (organized) warband.
The "AOE" outgoing heal debuff is insane when applied properly and the AOE Morale drain/party pump is the cherry on top. Plus the damage is very respectable (especially at BIS).

The biggest shame is the fact that the majority of PUG warbands and even a good portion of the rest of the leaders are still stuck in last years META (perhaps even further back) and as such do not take WEs in.

Feel free to check the WE section in our warband guide (link in my signature), although do keep in mind that the gameplay-basics section should be slightly outdated as of the most recent patch (plus a new BIS MH weapon from scenarios is missing).

1 in a wb was fine before patch and optimal now. Probably not more than 1.

The issue is that it doesn't really contribute much besides (okay ish) damage. No utility of any kind outside of oyk (also mediocre tbh don't understand why they nerfed it).

It can be fun, decent numbers and obviously DG for WH. But honestly I'd take any other dps if I was wb lead.

Majority of WB leaders do not want WHs with current set of tools. We need more to be invited.

yes, I still dont get the nerf on DMG. The dmg wasnt even that good before. Now is mediocre.
