How does a level 1 do this?...

Level 1 WH running away, 1v1, in a SC - somehow took longer to kill than anything else. And he didn't even seem to have the bolster buff... After beating on him for a while from behind, he finally turned to face and then proceeded to parry 8 attacks in a row (minus the one I got behind him for again). Like he knew it was going to happen.

Now I've seen some strange stuff in my time playing this game, and have never made a thread about it before, but can someone explain to me how this one is even possible? lol

Next time take a screenshot of the buffs he has on himself instead of combat log as that doesn't say too much really.

With exploiting the buff stacking system it was possible in the past. I've seen a WH who ran solo into a group of destros and killed 4 out of 6 before they got him down. But afaik it got changed and you cannot get buffs above your level anymore. Seems though stacking them is still possible but I don't know how people do it.

1. If you suspect someone is doing something illigitimate, or hacking, a forum name and shame is not the way to go about handling it. PM any evidence to a GM (Green Name), and they will handle it ASAP.

2. A level 1 WH bolstered to 11 has 1700 HP. Your combat log only shows you doing a little over 1500 damage. If he was in a scenario, he WAS bolstered.

3. WH dual-wield, which gives them +10% parry. They also have a naturally high weapon skill, which gives them more parry, especially with the way bolster works. You say, "...like he knew it was going to happen." I would say yes, since you had already done 1500 damage to him, he could probably safely assume that you were going to keep attacking him, and turning around to face you might have been a good idea. It's a wonder he didn't think of that before.

As for the number of parries, like I said, they get a lot of parry. Beyond that, he might have just been lucky.

I guess it's bound to happen eventually, but 8 parries in a row on an unbolstered lvl 1 WH still seems a bit unusual, to say the least.

Interesting, this would certainly make sense if it is indeed still possible. Wish I had a screenie of that, but I dont =/

1. Wasn't really my intention to shame anyone, but I see what you mean.

2. He wasn't even bolstered at all, thats the thing. It showed him AS a level 1 who was gray, whereas everyone else was lvl 11 with gray/white/etc. How can a completely unbolstered player even be in a sc, let alone survive even 1500 dmg?

On top of that, this was only a portion of the whole combat log in this fight - merely to show the fact that he wasn't parrying, and then suddenly EVERYTHING was parried. It was completely 1v1 with no one else around, healers included, away from the rest of the sc. And he remained away from the rest of the players, for it's entire duration (why would that be?).

Like I said, it took a great deal longer to kill him than others, even other level 11s who were obvious twinks.

And I'm quite aware of what a bolster does.

3. 10% parry from dual wield doesn't explain 8 in a row. And level 1 base WS would account for what, another 1%? Not sure how you can justify that with this logic, but RNG makes some sense at least.

My statement about him knowing it was going to happen was in regards to the fact that it appeared he knew he was about to parry all my attacks, not that he knew I would keep attacking him... Suddenly turning around, back peddling, and keeping his front to me at all costs as if he had just popped repel blasphemy or confusing movements. And then magically 8 parries in a row out of nowhere. Not in the least as though he turned to go on the offensive, because he knew he was dead anyway. Catch my drift?

I'm not saying he's exploiting (but I don't think that's entirely out of the question either), I just found it odd and didn't think even with the randomness of RNG and "luck" that a lvl 1 was capable of such a thing. 11% base parry or not.

If you honestly think that's all it was though, then that's fine. Just blew my mind is all.

A Bolsterded lvl 1 WH in scenario almost have 35% parry:

also, you can get 2% extra parry if RR 1

Sorry for off-topic: where can i find the addon you're using for the stat overview, sullemunk?

The default character stats window always seems to show 0% block/parry/dodge/disrupt (only shows RR stuff like deft defender)
