Are WPs expected to lose their shield appearances as well? :?

The 'new players won't make any gold' argument is laughable in the face of knowing that the old players have already farmed hundreds of gold out of the exponential gains of the killquests, while new players will probably not have been able to farm enough to get to a similar, decent amount of gold. Continuously letting an exponential gold generation be allowed, while it's being pumped into an already gold-satisfied market, will only increase inflation and make crafting necessities such as materials, potions and talismans even further out of reach from them.
So my entire guild just pretty much rolled here from another game that was letting down its WvW community. How do you expect us to be able to reasonably gear out to be competitive in T3 without grinding PvE (which NONE of us will do) as it will literally take us forever to acquire enough gold to do so?

As an original WAR player, I know full well the difference between the haves and have-nots when it comes to gear. There is only so much skill level difference you can overcome when being extremely out geared. It will takes months for the market to stabilize and what about the people that already have 100's / 1000's of gold ?

To me this is a case of breaking something that isn't broken because you are shooting yourself in the foot when it comes to new players here.

I've already rectified my mistake, read;

Now, I halved the gold rate since the market will stabilise a lot quicker if we remove exponential gold gain which mostly gets pumped into the already inflated economy, than if I were to sit idle and let people 'make 100 gold doing quests quests for a few days'. Most of the new player money will both go into vendor gold sinks, while luxuries such as potions and talismans can 1. be crafted yourself and 2. can still be bought and sold on the AH.

Boy the entitlement crowd is in the game!

Instead of being thankful for the job these VOLUNTEERS are doing people have to slam them for a decision they made. The developers could decide they don't want everyone on their server that they are working extremely hard at restoring.

So next time you decide a change is made that doesn't fit your expectations, maybe you should take a step back and think about your response. Let's face it suggesting that anyone who voted to implement the kill quest change should be let go is not a reasonable suggestion.

To all of the developers: Thank you for the great job you are doing in order for us to enjoy this game again. Just remember that not everyone in this thread hates you.

Great job again.

Decreasing the money gain from quests is not exacly fixing the economy thats already **** **** ****, People had hyper inflated the economy with Gold duping buying out items to the right and left from the action house in t2. A wipe was needed back then but not a damn finger was lifted due to all these wankers who complined "plz let me keep my exploited 1k+ gold meh meh!" That was the worst design decision RoR has ever done and is a problem to this day. :evil:

Other then dat Fantastic update :D
