Hey there

Sup!

I'm new to the universe of warhammer, never had the chance to check it out overmuch but I though it was interesting. I did try the old WAR Age of Reckoning and I though it was cool, lately I talked with some friends about warhammer and though it would have been nice if I could have tried the game for longer, so I searched for private servers and here I am.

So I'll be downloading the game and joining before weekend, probably.

See you around!

Btw, what stage is the server at the moment? I've read it's still in alpha or such?

Its still very much in alpha. You can only level up to level 10 currently. Lots of bugs and such but many of us are still enjoying the game a lot!

Welcome to the game / community :)

Welcome. Yes, very much alpha. Currently T1 Empire/Dwarfs is open for access, along with the RvR zones. Most abilities aren't fixed and class mechanics are not implemented yet.

Not sure what does T1 mean, besides maybe Tier 1? I suppose that's a set of zones.

Well, regardless I'll check it out see how it goes.

By the way, I've seen the announce in the slider at the index page about helping. Mind if I ask what is the help needed?

Lol, sorry. I forgot you were new to WAR. Yes, T1 = tier 1. There is a total of 4 rvr tiers in the game. T1 is the first tier (obviously). It's pretty simple and gets you into practice of how the game rvr mechanics work. T2/3/5 are different but not relevant to know at this moment in time, as they are not fixed yet.

Each tier has 3 realms. Elfs/Dark Elfs, Dwarfs/Greenskins and Empire/Chaos. Currently Empire/Chaos and Dwarfs/Greenskins are open to access and fight.

Elfs is coming soon.

At the moment, there's not a right lot new people can do. Most bugs have been raised and the team are aware of them. Until they are resolved, just have fun on the game.

Alright, thanks man. I'll keep it in mind.

I'm guessing Tier 1 is up to Level 10. Is there any "battleground" available?

Yup, rank 10 and renown rank 20 is the cap currently.

Battle grounds as in scenarios? There are a couple of scenarios working (we rotate between the two). There is the RvR lake where you can go out and knock the living crap out of each other lol.

6/10/14 8pm gmt/9pm cet, is an RvR event. Usually 80+ people log in and take part in fighting.

You gained renown ranks through fighting in RvR, scenario's and basic PvP stuff. It's similar to Valour in SWTOR. I never played WoW, so I don't know what they call it there lol.

You will receive bonus renown points for capturing a zone (this is usually a big amount). Through doing so, you gain ranks.

When you level up a renown rank, you gain a "renown point" which you can spend on a long list of buffs to stats, debuffs to enemies and other stuff. There are 100 Renown ranks, so there are 100 renown points to spend in your entire career.

Also, RvR gear requires a certain renown rank to equip it, along with your career rank. For example, to wear a T1 RvR chest piece (Decimator Chestpiece). You require a career rank 9 and renown rank 8. Any PvE gear, usually just requires a career rank to equip it.

I see, so it's like a PvP rank. Thanks for the help. The community has certainly proven to be friendly so far.

I guess now I just need to decide what faction, race and career to create o:
