I have a Squig Mount!

I went to summon my pack mule as I usually do on my Archmage, when instead of a horse I got on a Horned Squig!!! Got a screenshot too but wont let me attach it

Is this a weird bug or were squig mounts a thing in live?

yes it's someones idea of a joke/prank....

but its ok, cause no-one in this, or any other game, really cares about appearance of their characters.. dye, appearance of weapons, farming 1000 of a beast for a clock, choosing what colour of mount to ride yadda yadda yadda..

so a weekend (not every one is in the same time zone) of looking at the toon riding a squig with a sea sickness inducing rocking motion with no option to opt out is obviously hilarious...kudos..hahaha

and besides after all, as was pointed out to me, if you dont like it you can always "f**k off and play dessie"".. lol..

gotta love the irony of people attempting to be funny on april fools day,

just my 2 cents (which i am reliably told is actually worth $37 and change )

Judging from ingame chatter, most people like it. As for the rest, they can take the day off. One day without RoR won't kill anyone.

wow.. anecdotal evidence.. haha.. sorry but ""most" is one of those words that is even easier to throw around than made up stats. (99% of stats are made up except for the 108% of stats which aren't).

although i am prepared to be convinced otherwise I am fairly sure "most" of the people who are still online are not actively posting in chat.

Simply put if "most"of the 500 hundred people online were posting in chat then;

1) you couldn't read fast enough to keep up with it, let alone collate opinions to support usage of the word most. generally a very small proportion of people actively chat in advice etc otherwise it would move to fast to keep up with. and,

2) by definition if someone is online and actively playing then they, by definition, either like the mounts as a novelty or they are indifferent and prepared to put up with them for a limited time. People who do not like them will have logged and therefore anecdotal evidence as to the overall reaction cannot be gained from in game chat.

Your suggestion as to "most" people liking them being evidenced by a very small sample posting in chat is similar to stating that "most" people love donald trump as evidenced by the people that attended his last rally.

anyway, the fact i have time to type all that shows two things. Firstly that i am one of the people that took the day off.. and secondly that my eso is patching slower than the other three guys i know who have also logged from RoR to play eso whilst we sit out the seasickness..

and yes i know 4 doesnt sound as big a number as "most" but it does have the advantage of not being a fabrication or a figment of my imagination used simply to support my own viewpoint without any real substantiation.

anyway. i am glad you are enjoying your mount, so much that you are taking a break from playing to post on the forums lol
