Indeed, which is why I believe a 'top' player is he/she who can adapt and PvP in many platforms without having to rely on the same group/op synergies to facilitate them.

Well of course people are gonna be biased You can't know every single player out there. Especialy when poeple play in different time zones, so how could you know whether someone is good if you never even played with them, and will probably never get a chance to play with them.

Most people here aren't being biased (even if voting for guildies, imo) as they're genuinely just saying that these players are the best of their respective classes that they've played with/against. Hence why it's subject to opinion, as - like you said - not every player has met eachother.

then again you have to make a difference between melee and rpds bc you simply cant pug as a mdps. at least not if you wanna go in and stay. try to make a choppa work in a sc with 3 rdps on the other side, when having no guard and heal. it is quite easy too judge those who play their mdps only within a group when playing a clearly fotm solo class as pug. i would like to see some people queing up as a mdps within a group to judge their targeting and engage/disengage capability as well as their pressure handling.

in the end of the day you have those who determine skill by their performance when playing in a group and those who judge them for their 1vs1 capability. personally i like to duel and i also pug on my rdps or duo que as mdps but tbh there is no 1vs1 balance. you cant say "telen is a great am bc he farms me in 1vs1". for me it is the nature of the am to not lose any duel. hence why i rather judge people by their pvp capability in general and the biggest impact has a.) does he know how to pressure and whom and b.) can he handle pressure? pressure handling seperates the good from the bads imho. but as i said that is my opinion and i respect everyone who judges from a different pov due to their prefered playstyle

I just wanna give a shout out to some of the solo players in scs that always do well and don't give up that I have seen.

I don't really think it's a solo player or premade thing. Game is played competitively on the 6v6 level, and it doesn't take long for an experienced player to master any class that mechanical or theory skill cap is relatively low compared to say asking who is the best awper in csgo etc...

Skill in this game is more than anything about communication with your group. You need a strong shot caller and people who will listen, but at the same time you need EVERYONE communicating what they need to. We have had to stop playing with people that many thought were extremely good players because when you get into ts or vent with them they just won't communicate and at that point you would rather have a mediocre player that actually knows how to communicate.
