Client download issues and troubleshooting

So i have gotten a new computer and its running vista, i have tried downloaded it many times(using anything but crome because ive been told that does work), and i get it to the point of opening the login and then poof... tells me that im missing directx, but i have downloaded that aswell and put it in the folder. i have removed the read only stuff from the folder... i downloaded via the torent and the cloud links... i am at a loss... can anyone help me? i made a post about this thinking hat maybe it was that RoR isn't compatable with vista, but im being told that it should be fine.

can i have another link to the installer? I cant download the individual files because it says not found and i cant download them from the cloud because of a lot of traffic. and the torrent is not an option for me because my computer doesnt take torrents well

The English client on my Pcloud should be working now. I don't know why it did that, but it's fixed.

Been having a nightmare making this game work right: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=14947

I took the advice of another player and installed Nvidia Inspector to help limit the program so it doesn't burn out my GPU for whatever reason. Now that I placed a Limit on my FPS, the launcher refuses to connect. I click connect, and nothing happens, it doesn't even turn grey. I have tried rebuilding my performance counters, that fixed nothing. Redownloaded launcher, still not working.

Have you tried running the launcher as administrator, i.e right click > run as administrator?

Many players are reporting issues connecting to server, so until you can confirm you can connect and log in, we'll take it from there.

Running as admin produces no results, just an irresponsive connect button. Not a grey button, a yellow connect button that does not react to clicking.

Keep trying. I'm getting reports that people can eventually log in after trying. Close launcher and load again on each failed attempt.
