Testing the waters here. Thinking about investing more time and coming back but I have a huge problem with LOTD. It was one of the worst attempts at content in a decent title I had ever seen. It was dry, boring, often buggy and being required to endure such crap doing PVE to get PVP gear in a PVP game seemed counter to the entire philosophy. The whole thing just sucked terribly and I thought it was microcosm of the game's problems at release. If it could be retrofitted as a form of darkness falls with out the bullshit dungeons and overpowered gear, perhaps a place to grind for resources and the odd not game breaking yet unique item drop it might seem OK. #lexit

LOTD is coming, mind you its far away.
Im no dev but last I heard its getting implemented but some items like the weps will not see the light of day on the server, so no OP crap like that.
For my own opinion the zone and dungeons was amazing! I dont care about the loot that much (but it has to reward something) but I want the zone and dungeons back
EDIT: also when your making a poll to see what people opinions are why did you make such a clickbaity topic title clearly showing your own opinion?

I loved LOTD. Griefing the other faction was so meaningful there. I used to go LOTD all the time with full groups geared invader>sovereign just to annoy order, invading tovl or ezmoding the WC. Who remembers the jump up spot to get into Order WC, then pulling the lord outside

I agree with the OP. Lotd was bad implementation, and ruined T4 RvR on my server to the point I stopped playing. Can't work on a 2 sides game, could work with 3 factions like daoc but this is not the case. Bad expansion, hope it will never make it here

Overpowered gear is already confirmed for not happening, the zone is completely optional. I don't see why anyone would be against it.

Had a lot of pvp fun in LOTD, you could always gank some1 soloing a PQ

LotD was, like the rest of WAR, full of great ideas and poor execution. In the process of acquiring full tyrant for my WP, I was invaded twice. The decision to allow only one side at a time killed a lot of potential the zone had.
If I were to take the zone and design it myself, I would have forced the t4 campaign to 1 pairing at a time plus LotD for both sides at the same time. If you take the WC, you lock the other side out until they can gather the expedition resources to unlock it again. That alone would be a huge upgrade to what was effectively a PvE zone.
And in fact, I would argue that the addition of some neutral PQs to the RvR lakes would be a great addition to the game as it encourages a fight over something useful to the players rather than an otherwise useless keep or BO.
