[Blackguard]Builds/How to play

So , i decided to play blackguard . I enjoy the class and i think that i will level him to max. I wanna know how to play him correctly , i know that tier 1 is just random spell spamming and mindless attacking. I wanna know from you veterans how to play him correctly at higher tiers where i need brain . Also i would be gratefull if you post me some bg builds . Im realy unsure which path is right , damage , tank or magic defense they are called but this wont help me . I will be grateful for any given advice . Thank you all.

Sorry for bad english :)

Hmm , yea you guys posted me some advices and helps , but by build i mean path , wheret to spend points , stat priority , not spell rotation in different stuations to which i dont realy understand , for example :

Basic 2h BG

1v1 build
* You swap out disrupt tactics for the parry depending on opponent.
* If you're fighting against DPS AMs/BWS/Engis then use Malekith's Bulwark, Disrupt tactic, and the tactic that increases your speed when you disrupt.
* If you fight against melee, use terrifying foe, rugged, and whatever else u want. stack pure parry.

Your own answer , something like this will never help new player like me . Im grateful that you are trying to help , yea but as new player i just don understand what you wanted to tell me . I dont have all abilities unlocked , i dont know any disrupt tactic , i dont know terrifying foe spell , you are posting post for player with knowledgr of veteran , but you forgot that im totLy new . I never played war before , i came to war because after 4 years of wow on private servers ive got bored . Game had nothing tooffer so i decided ill find somr decent wow like mmo but with open world pvp that i jever played before . I wanted to start again and peoples here are kind on me thats why im asking you all for help. Players on wow wrre never kind to me , i had to google everything and listen how noob iam because i lost to some death knight as paladin even after using bubble etc. So if you are willing to write me basics of being tank in group what it meand to be tank instead of tactics i will not understand to because of my lack of knowledge i will be gratefull, also you can post me some nice build at waronlinebuilder.com it will be very kind of you .

Ask Google for a step-by-step guide for BGs (there are some nice guides out there, written for beginner), study that one (since there is no difference for you - you either read what someone did write in this forum-topic, or in a guide), play your BG, check for a guild and a party to enable group-play as soon as possible. Maybe even someone in the guild is willing to explain everything to you, instead of a guide, or forum-post.

After you've grown a bit into the mechanics and into higher lvl, recheck the builds ppl did post.

You will learn the best if you study some basics (as said, there are already plenty written, just never checked for BG, so I can't provide some links) and then test the gameplay. Like using guard and stay in range of your guarded target.

One Link I found. It istn't the best, but does provide some Basics. Maybe someone has a better.

Thanks for the link . Of course im trying to google all information about my class , problem is that game doesnt exist any more . There are not many war guides and i dont think that domeone will make guides for players on private server so only source of information for me and biggest source is this forum. Btw im old wow private servers player and like we all know some things work differently from official servers and thats why some old guide might nit help me that much as you can.

Started with wotlk blizzlike Soulwell , then i got bored from leveling and went on wotlk posterus 100x xp , played long time here , then deffenderbg , then some 255 max level modifcated server , ive been played on many more servers but shortly and i dont eemember names, then iwent to pandaria , first available was buggy Pandashan where i spent much time , i enjoyed mists of pandaria , easy and i become good at pvp very fast , after year i got bored , ofc i left pandashan and played on other mop servers like russian pandawow , been on heroes wow etc , then ive got that its borong for me , after pause and playing lol , dota , skyrim tf2 gw2 ... i decided to get back to wow , ive been playing pandaeia shortly , then my friend big wow fan playing on retail invited me to biggest vanilla wow private server named Nostalrius , after month of playing there servr have been shut down , maybe u know , after that ive got that i hate pvp instanced wow pvp and that i need vanilla wow bcz of world pvp , i went on twinstar server kronos 2 , i played there for 3 months and been selling and buying characters on twinstar auction hause , but i got bored , ive got that no matter which wow ill play it will never be for me like when i started , ive been good , some posts on forum and ive got into it , after i told to myself that wow hav norhing more to offer me i decided ill go n play other mmorpg , few years ago i found new way of pvp named rvr and thanks to it i found ror , level cap wasnt bigger than 20 here and max 200 players , i made male delf DoK and played shortly , then i stopped and fotgot about ror , week ago i gave up about wow and i decided that ill ty another game , then after looking at top most populated and favourite games list and browsing mmorpgs i decided to look what have become from ror , i was surprised and i decided that ill give chance to ror and i enjoy it , lower level cap than any wow expansion , faster leveling and what is most important , good and more fair pvp , no twinks , no gear grind , just by pvping i can afford to buy better gear , no problems with gold , im level 11bg with i dont lie 10 g 59 s , nevr begging for gold again and what i most important , new game , new beginning and so much things to learn

If you're a 'Veteran' from other MMOs, you might be able to see what kind of skills will benefit your gamestyle. Guard is one of the few skills that are actually kinda unique. There are plenty 'cast it on someone, receive his dmg'-skills in other MMOs, but most of them won't make you stay that close to your target, while 'only' splitting the received dmg between both of you. Enemy-Addon will be a gain, since it will show an indicator of how far your guarded target is away, as well as marking that one, so you can identify him in the heat of a battle.

So root to protect your backline, or bypass the melee-train to enable your party to mash up the backline. Snare melees, that are trying to grab your healer, or that are trying to prevent your mates to maul theirs. Knockback on other tanks that are guarding someone, so they aren't within the reach of the skill (30 ft), or knock that annoying healer off a cliff, so the rest of the enemies party won't receive any healing. Interrupt that ressurrection with your taunt, so that killed mdps will stay down for some more seconds, while the healer will waste more time to rez him (unable to heal others during that time).
Use your skills offensive and defensive, you need to be able to switch. You're one of the keyplayer that will protect your party as well as create an opening, so your mates can dive into a valuable spot of the enemies party. Tanks in WAR aren't the 'soak damage'-type of toons, like in other games. They have some really nice skills that will enable them to actually turn the tides rather quick, since they are able to affect the movement of the enemy.
But thats something that enemy-tanks are trying as well, so watch out for them.

Even as dps-tank, watch out for your teammates. If you see your only healer getting attacked, while you're about to finish your enemy, leave your target and get the f... to your healer. You won't survive, if you loose your healer. You're a tank, made to protect, given tools to protect, so protection is your duty, even if you can ditch out some damage if skilled/geared well. Most dps-tanks (I encountered) are tunnel-visioned.

Play your role well and you'll be loved, like a godlike healer is loved.
