Decided to start playing again, downloaded and installed everything as instructed then this pops up! Now before you link forum page addressing these errors, I've already looked and none of the solutions posted have worked. So please help.

To resolve this error, replace your launcher files with this copy: https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code ... FCn4UIAQ77
Open it with WinRar and put the files into the game folder.

Elven (or anyone else that can help me) - I am also encountering this message, and have tried downloading and using the files you linked to (I also found them in the FAQ...), but I am still getting this error message... anyone with ideas on how to fix it? I'll try working on it some more...

You extracted the files and put them all in the game folder (replacing any existing files)?

Yes, but that was not the problem... I found a video in another forum thread that showed me that I had to right click on the base folder, choose properties and de-select "read-only" or something such...

Yup, once I removed the "read-only" tag from the folder it started working!
