Speedhack - How does it actually look like?

In the last two days some players were banned for using a speedhack.

Now my question is not how can I get it, but how can you see that a person is using a speedhack?

Simply by trying to follow them with your mount, or how?

Its plain and simple really.. they move faster then the 100÷ speed. For example if hè puts 101 ÷ hè moves 1 ÷ faster then u . Almost not noticeble but if hè does 150 or 200 hè doubles your speed count that without mount nor flee then u can see it if hè puts it high For another person it might look like teleporting. Prob the devs / gm can check speed on someone and if not. maybe make it so. Also this server has no dll checks so Its quite hard to fight it. Just sucks that People actually need it.

Every speed value over 150 will result in teleporting. You wont be able to see a movin player with 5000 movement speed. 160 already results in teleports(thinking of mounts). With around 300 you will see them popping up every 100ft or so, but theres no smooth movement anymore.

Makes me wonder when I see certain SH's outrunning me while still able to fire of their abilities despite me being directly behind them. Then again, im most likely ignorant.

That is also something i have been wondering about.. For example when i see a zerg (lets assume in CW where its more or less a "flat-visible" field, I retreat (COOT COOT!).
Given that the opponent can be visible at 200+(?) ft, how come some SHs manage to dismount me?
-I have the 60% mount so them being faster would not be an option right?

-If I have lag spikes (not delay, just some fast game-freezes for 0,5) does my toon continue to run normally or just stop for a brief moment? (I think this would explain a lot if it happens, although Im not sure)

SH and Shamys have some speed tactics, abilities which get sometimes triggered and then they have a speedbonus. If they flee faster then you can reach them it is normal. And you don't see anyone of them teleporting.
Goblins ARE fast here.

Speed hacks look really obvious when speed starts to reach a certain level the character will appear to clip. Back when the game was T2 only i had some black orc run past me and i didnt even have time to get his name.
Khorlar, Thorvold, Sjohgar, Anareth, Toldavf, Hartwin, Gotrin and others -_-

You may also need to consider the fact that....SH actually has an active ability called runaway in addition to the runaway tactic which can be passively activated.
Please hug and not hit my adorable dwarf and cute gobbo, Toldavf the mean. I shall become a snare bot again.

Yes but aren't those tactics activated when they are hit? I'm referring to when THEY run after me, not vice versa.

A couple of days ago we had an interesting bug. We were swimming in the lake in front of the DW Destro WC. And well one of our grp memebers was about twice as fast as the rest of the grp. Looks pretty funny :). Unfortunately we were not able to reproduce it, so there isn't really anything to report.
