idk if the regen from the renown work, but it would be overcosted regardless, if you compare the sov 5th piece bouns which give 200 regen and 3rd and 4th whih give 85 tough/wounds.
From renown 72 tough more or less cost 20 rp. 140 pt of regen cost 45 rp........
Basically it cost 2x compared to all other stats in live so even if you want go regen wait for the right gear.

Anyone run a regen tank build? I was interested in building one, but I don't know where to find the gear for it on this server. You can get a chest and shield for it from the emblem vendor, but other than that, I'm at a loss.

You can build regen tank BG, but it doesn't serve any purpose other than solo holding battle objectives. It's not half bad if you want to earn emblems ASAP while solo queing.

But until there is a competitive objective based scene (there never will be) it's pretty pointless on the whole.

Just got the Subjugator Glaive (yay!) and always wanted to play 2-hander.

However, debating which of the new sets to go for as none of them gives +5% parry, like annihilator used to do, and Anni doesn't give a +1 in the right career path for Warband play.

Any thoughts which of the new sets (Conqueror, Dominator or Beastlord) would be best for 2-hander as none of them seem quite optimal? Also, which jewelry do you reckon as currently I got a defensive set from the green keep bags.

probably full beastlord and 2 piece ruin for the armor buff. If the armor debuff stuck it's gold.

RoR.builders - Black Guard

RR full into parry. i use 3 x ruin/double merc, and the parry glaive.
just as long as you have the parry, toughness x 2 and the heal you're sorted. if fighting a dps am/BW/grenade engi, then go for disrupt. some BGs prefer to go Malice/Angui, but I find that the parry/toughness from loathing allows you to fight against a larger range of opponents (parry WEs, parry DOKs). it's a long-drawn out fight, but you should win if you play your cards right.

I watched your feisty dark elf video and liked it very much, especially the shield and sword fights, could you share the build?

Anyone able to list the actual changes to Black Guard here? Or tell me where they are on the forums? Been looking for them and can't find them. I know Blade of Ruin is replaced with Get Down! (petition to change name to Kneel, Fool! for parity with witch elves on cool knockdown names) but I have vague memories of the tactics in Loathing getting changed around again from what they are in the career builder? Or is it all up to date, other than the Blade of Ruin -> Get Down?

All your buffs effect your protectorate now, you get 2h kd in left tree, AoE snare is in the middle of middle tree, parry tactic is 1st tactic in middle tree.

So you can get AoE snare at rr70 in dps build, or self heal in tank build at rr70. And have access to parry tactic at fresh 40 in virtually any build aside from full glass (stupid) or shield build that wants on demand KD.

I run 2h build, full left tree with parry tactic and crit reduction in middle tree. Full avoidance renown and armor talismans. Unless I am playing like an idiot I never die before my guardee and can hold my own in zerg warfare with the help of double pots and good use of enviroment/abilities. Technically you should be getting RD2 but I'm an NA scrub.

Edit: so all self buffs affect dark oathprotectfriend now? So like the absorb bubble does too (shield of edginess or whatever)? Or is it like the mirrors with IB: so the toughness buff and strength buff do, but none others? I vaguely remember people complaining about the crit reduction on force of fury applying to protect fren as well

Effects working on your dark protector (I know for sure):
- Feeding on weakness
- Brutal smash
- Shield of Rage
- force of Fury
- Elite Training

I dont know if the tough buff from Terrifying foe works, never tested it.
