Behind the wall of the internet its creates what is called the online disinhibition effect. This is the 'you can't see/hear me, I can't see/hear you so you're not real' psychology. We underestimate the effect body language and changes in voice tone can have on how we interface with others. Companies come down hard on anything that could be deemed offensive because it feeds into this cycle that you don't need to have normal social conventions online. What this inevitably leads to is the usual chaos you get on social media and cyber-bullying. Also there should be a line drawn when entering an online fantasy mmo all racial terms are left outside. While i agree it still doesn't take away the fact they are deliberately trying to mock someone/skin colour/race whatever it is and that shouldn't be acceptable.
