It does check the closest target, not anyone in the aoe radius. If closest target is immune to snare (MDPS are the only classes with this), then nothing happens. None of the regular CC immunities are involved, just the specific snare immunity.

This ability is kinda retarded, self punt should work regardless of the snare immunity. It's too easy to counter it on every class with RD. If target is immune to snares, fine he will not be snared, but why self punt must be tied to snare affect?

It's 2017, escape abilities could be atcually reliable.

Agree to this. Self punt should be working regardless of immunities, snare component should have an independant check. Afaik this was also how it worked on live.

Resolute Defense does not block this ability. Only snare immunity, which only MDPS classes have.

Afaik RD does not remove snares but makes immune to snare and because of this it counters Whirling Pin.
Dying is no option.

If darosh wrote right about the immunity, then that shold go bug report, being immune to snare should not cancel the self punt ( see wh) as it's an escape tool.... If snare is such an hassle nerf snare duration not make the punt fail every time a melee have immunity..... And let that be exploitedb( one extremism to another one yet again)

The only way to stop you should be in the delay between snare and punt using either a kd or a root...stop. Evrything else feel like a bug

WH/WE's escape require selected target but 100% work. even against immune target. single target stagger.
SW/SH(?) don't need selected target.
but range and immunity are checked.
AoE snare.
2 different skills. melee escape vs range escape i guess.

I'm gonna add 3 more buffs to buffhead.
Fleet-Footed
Shrug It Off
Mutating Release

damn mara, stop spamming my buffhead.
