Willpower vs. Healing Power.
Both increase healing output, but is there an easy way to tell which is better?
E.g. if I have an item that give +10 healing power vs. a +10 willpower item. Which would be better? What if it were +20 willpower?
What's the math behind this?
Healing power vs. willpower

Re: Healing power vs. willpower
Healing power (and melee/ranged/magic) don't add to the softcap of their respective stat and are not affected by debuffs.
That's their main advantage over regular stats.

Re: Healing power vs. willpower
That's good to know but doesn't really answer the question.Halhammer wrote:...
I'd like to know whether:
- 1 healing power < 1 willpower (i.e. lower boost to healing)
1 healing power = 1 willpower (i.e. equal boost to healing)
1 healing power > 1 willpower (i.e. higher boost to healing)
(and anyone can answer this for melee, magic, range power at the same time be my guest

Edit after Aurandilaz's reply:
That would mean that roughly 1 "x"-power equals 2 stat points right?
(again, based purely on damage/healing output not on any other stat benefits)

Re: Healing power vs. willpower
wasnt it something like 5 WP = 1 HP? (definetely not even 60% sure thou)

Re: Healing power vs. willpower
Should be this. But you won´t get the second bonus from stat (for willpower disrupt increase).WahookaTG wrote:

Re: Healing power vs. willpower
just rechecked, my BW has staff with +60 magic power, which translated to +12 dmg bonus
meaning 5 magic power = +1 dmg bonus
50 intelligence added = increase of +10 dmg bonus
so basically it looks they have the same gains, but eventually at 1050 in T4 you meet the softcap, after which adding extra stats results in less stats being gained from the addition, until you get to actual hardcap.
also, Willpower increases disrupt, "healing power" doesn't have this side effect.
but yeah, "x power" is just end game stuff, something you can lust after when you have reached soft cap for your desired stats

Re: Healing power vs. willpower
Healing Power on gear on the live version had roughly an extra 50% in terms of stats.
HP talismans for example would cap at 36 while Willpower talismans capped 24.
At same ITL a staff with 80 INT that was replaced with Magic Power would have had 120 Magic Power on it.
This made Power and Fortitude in general stronger slot for slot, but for the price of losing the secondary effekt.
In terms of effekt it's the same. 5 HP or 5 Will both = 1 hps.
