Both. Unless this is purposeful shutdown to apply a fix, then when it comes back up you will need to reset the date on your computer to yesterday (Feb. 25) in order to login because their authentication certificate is expired.

Well, the server is currently down for unknown reasons. Before the server went down, people were able to login and play, but only if they set the date on their computer to Feb. 25 because that is the last date the server authentication certificate was valid.

So, until we get official word on what the problem(s) are and whether they were fixed, we really don't know for sure.
