Better go fast Rank 40 or push RR early?

Hi all!

Is it better to go to R40 asap or should I level slower and enter the real T4 with 40/40+?

I want to enjoy the game AND be helpful for my party!

Play n a Heal RP (34/33) and Tanky KotbS (28/24) and I think I could play both not so bad, the RP heals and the Knight guards and supports .........

Atm I use these XP-Stop things that my RR gets higher than the rank, but is this a good idea?

Better push to 40 cause even with low RR I could be a better help for others and have fun?

Actually the bolster gives me nice stats but beeing real 40 might be better?

id say it doesnt matter in the long run and that people put too much importance into it. if you cba to pve your way to 40 then feel free to, getting to rr40 in t4 even from rr1 is extremely easy.

i would never use stop XP scrolls honeslty with the way the bag system works. You can't get end game gear from them until rank 40/41 and 40/51. So its great that you're 38/52 but that bag with anni coulda been vanq or genesis or w/e.

I guess first you have to answer a couple question. 1 - Did you play live or another mmo to consider yourself a veteran player? 2 - Do you have a guild or high renown friends in the game?

If you answered yes for both questions, i say rush 40, get pve gear (like Ruin) and join you friend for renown farming. Its a lot quicker!

If no, then i suggest you go slow. Let you level follow your rr (rr higher then level). Rushing to 40 and doing scs alone will be a pain and you wont be helping your faction.

You can get easy pve gear with ruin pq , or any dungeon (redeye / sentinel) and being competitive in rvr without renown

Yes I played on life had 3 or 4 rank 40 toons highest RR about 83. So yes I m kind of a veteran but long long ago......

I m making friends and joined a guild so think I would rush to 40 in a mix of doing SC / grinding champs or doing PQs.....

We´ll see whats best!

Are there any PQs for ruin you can solo and if yes which rank is required? not to use, to solo PQ btw

My Advice is to go up lvl 40 as fast as possible to get the 2 buff potions. And the Tripple Heal Potions. Every fight below lvl 38 is shorter for you because you can't use big healing potions and/or Absorp potions to take of the big burst.

Renown will come on its own.

Everybody in this thread is forgetting the 40 renown points OP will have when they reach rank 40, and the stats those bolster. It might be different on your healer, but on me tank that is an essential part of dodge / block / parry which are big stats for me.

I think its worth at least having your renown in the late 30's by the time you hit rank 40. I wouldn't want to play catch up twice, its a waste of your time and you are noticeably less effective for longer at rank 40
