blackguard and chosen are very different in RoR as it is now

chosen is all about his buff/debuff auras, he only has 1/2 offensive skills that get used
blackguard has about 5~ ST buffs/debuffs to cycle through, along with a (really bad) self heal, a (really good) self shield, and a couple of big hitters

i'd recommend chosed for a new player, as it is with no groups you're just a huge armoured guy running around smacking things. blackguard is harder to play in t1 and gear is much, much rarer

I am interested too in Blackguard playstyle ^^ I started a BG main here, but never played it on WAR, I hope I can be a tanky-dps with it, like Ironbreaker, since they are mirror.

Blackguard is the most offensive focused tank on destro whose primary goal is to stick it to all the lame healers and casters on Ordo, don't listen to taz feeding on weakness is a pretty good self heal and when paired with shield of rage gave Bg some great survive ablity in higher tier, the class is a nice solo roamer and in 6 mans it was son only used as the second tank chosens are the better duelers but bgs could put great damage with crush the weak and enraged beating.
Bg also has one of the longest knock downs in the game at 5 seconds but you need 100 hate.

Chosen : group buff and debuff

Bg : stronger single target buff and debuff

Bg's are not tanky as IB's furthermore their buff/debuffs are not as strong but this is done in the face of the fact that hate builds much faster than grudge

Blackguard can be a fun class to play, and when played well can be a very fun, challenging and phenomenal off-tank when paired with a good mdps

As mentioned by others, it is atm very much a single target debuffer, and the temptation will always be there to go 2H (especially when levelling up through the tiers), but for PvP you will almost certainly forgoe this in favour of sword/shield so you get access to the BG's KD

One problem that no one seems to mention is the fact you'll probably need 4 hands, 2 keyboards and full on multitasking brain to play one to its full potential due to its dazzling array of useful skills

I suggest you chosen if you want more control of the battle field and be more free as movement, BG if you want an aggressive tank with some nasty options

Generally ; i sugested that if y choose Order take a rdps class- y will not feel lonely among a lot of Runepreiestes, Bright Wizards, Archamges or Shadow Warriors. Play as Orders is a hard way of live , imao.
When y choose a destro, y take some mdps character (for reason as above)

Play swtor in general, it is quite a good game. But that is neither here nor there.

I'd suggest you go with your gut feeling and choose what looks/sounds the most fun. In your case, a BG. Something tells me you really want to play it. 2H BG is one of the most lethal tanks(I'd even say THE most lethal!) and S+S is one of the most annoying things you'll witness: a tank with a self heal(!) and a shield(!!!) and a 5s KD(ok, wtf now).

As for using 15+ skills: even better advice is to play Age of Conan. You need to utilize y,x,c,v,1,2,3,4,5 and alt and ctrl and shift comboes with thos. It's quite simple really. What I do is seperate the skills by functionality to alt+number etc. Example in swtor: Force attacks on Marauder are done with alt+number while normal attacks are done with numbers. Def.CDs are done with shift+number. Potion etc are clicked(really I use them rarely enough that I can get on with this). Example in AoC: Left attacks are relegated to the left bar and used when you press alt+number, while right attacks are done with shift+number and are on the right bar. Forward attacks are done with just the numbers and are on the standard bottom bar. When you play a demo, just faceroll your 3 buttons(lol)!

As I said, it's really not difficult as long as you seperate them by functionality. IMO.
