The shaman is completely different from the zealot. I cant even call the zealot a healer now, its entirely useless compared to it.
Then you do something seriously wrong. Zealot is a much better healer in group fights. Maybe not at current state of game.
All what a shaman has are high personal defense abilities in heal spec and a working damage spec.
Dying is no option.

RP and Sh can run pass using their tiny size, but AM and Zeal are like "ok, i give up, that WE/WH its spotting me as soon as i leave the camp".
No, I don't trust you at all. :D
Hope u trust numbers:

AM set t3: http://war.mmodb.com/itemsets/devastato ... bes-72.php

RP set t3: http://war.mmodb.com/itemsets/devastato ... bes-64.php

WP set t3: http://war.mmodb.com/itemsets/devastato ... kit-68.php

Notice 3 things in them. 1st the armour, 2nd the amount of willp, and 3rd the bonus set, and dont forget the RP mechanics.

Uhm, your experiences are far off, because you quit pre 1.4.8. Most Healers use Annihilator set in T3 or late T2.

I played AM for 5 years. I can tell you AM was extremely over powered in t1-t3 when it came to DPS. In T4 everything changes, melee classes got lots of anti healer/caster abilities. AM doesn't become viable again for awhile (Ive seen many times WEs taking down AMs in time it takes to come out of stealth). Kitting skills are a must on am/shaman.

AM is much better when it comes to DPS then shaman. Mainly because of AM has 4 DOTs vs 2 dots on shaman (that can be cast without stopping). AM has 65 PBOAE spirit debuff, shaman's is only 45ft, AM has overpowering m1 (4600 absorb bubble for 1 min. Was up after 20 seconds of battle, usually meant I-win button in duels)

I didn't bring AM to 6v6 often, but it was fun to do it sometimes. AM has tactic called bolstering boon, every time big heal is used it restores 200 morale to target. This meant WH could get Excommunicate m4 morale in under 20 seconds after 6v6 started (No one can get healed for 15 seconds). If opposition wasn't expecting it, those matches were over in under a minute.

The fact that melee has to wait soo long to get anti healer/faster abilities in of its self is frustrating
