Guide for apothecary

Hey as the title says looking for a guide on apothecary if there is one if there isn't would any kind soul run me through the basics? where to find mats whats the most efficient to level up fast and any other little tricks you might know like does it require another trade skill to help level up? thanks in advance and sorry if there already is one up i had a quick look but couldn't find anything.

I was planning on writting up a guide for apothecary specifically for RoR, but decided to put it on the back burner until I get bored enough to finish compiling it.
