launcher doing nothing, wont start

Hello

I recently reset my laptop back to windows 7 factory then i...
- updated drivers
- windows updates
- downloaded the torrent ran with tixati tixati downloaded around 12g i believe
- made 2 copies of the downloaded folders
- set folders to admin
- unchecked read only on the ROR launcher
- ran the dx9 in the ROR folder

NOTHING HAPPENS when i start launcher. it pops up run as admin and not 1 single process starts. I downloaded and ran this with no issues on my custom PC. plz could someone give some advice as to what i might do?

Ctrl Alt Delete - make sure there aren't any other processes happening?

I'd need to see what you're actually seeing to help further, can you screenshot 'nothing'?

JUST IN CASE: Did you happen to make a shortcut of the launcher?

TRY THIS: Double click the launcher from the FILE FOLDER not a shortcut but DIRECTLY from the FILE FOLDER.

I hope that was the issue and you are off to playing the game.

not 1 single process is running that was the first thing i checked. when i click launcher i have processes up. nothing happens not even a sputter. ill see if i can get this laptop to screen shot its not wanting to.
the log under launcher also shows no issues says everything is downloaded correctly

ok tried it again after a restart. RoR launcher pops up when i click it then have to say yes to admin. then i happened to notice dllhost.exe i think popped up for a split second and nothing happened it disappears

Sounds like an issue with the installation - I'd suggest trying to redownload a fresh set of files and seeing if the issue persists.

thank you. ill try it took me all night just to download that with my slow internet i was hoping to avoid it haha! ill go to mcdonalds real fast i quess

reinstallation has fixed the problem. no way i found around it i just went to a local hotspot. THANK you all for fast responses.
