Expedited development

Post#1 » Fri May 22, 2015 9:39 am

I wanted to create this thread so as to help the development. As anyone who ever learned ANYTHING about logistics knows, it's that a situation can be greatly helped if a work is focused on the "MVP" stuff. Stuff that everybody will love. I can already guess 2-3 possible dev paths that are MVP(RvR, PvP, abilities). This is not about that. This is about the rest of the game(which is HUGE). So, my question(s) are:

-> Which pairing to focus on? Which one should get a wooden medal(ie: be last)?
-> PvE: Which parts to focus on? EVERYTHING? PQs only? Dungeons? Epic/story quests?
-> other mechanics: Crafting? ToK? Alliances? Rework abilities?

These listed are all HUGE and it would serve us well if we at least got a partial working game so we can have fun(and be in Warhammer world again, it needs a REAL NAME BADLY!). Then while we're having fun, you devs can work your magic on the remainder of a game.

I'll answer first:

-> Empire and Chaos should realistically be focused on.It's the core of Warhammer! It'd be like Star Wars without Jedi or Sith. Just O.o . In my opinion, DvG(Dwarfs/Greenskin) should be the last because it's kinda inconsenquential.

-> PvE: Just make sure that zones we're doing have a sense to them. ie: get the epic/story quests working. I'd also like that they offered at least enough xp so we could level solely on them. But if not, I understand. Just get them working. PQs would be nice, yeah, but they're not as important.

-> other: Fully working ToK for sure! I'd like some abilities to get reworked so as they make more sense, but that's for later. My vote here goes to ToK.

So, my final vote would look like:

-> proper and working abilities, bug fixes
-> RvR
-> story bits of PvE
-> ToK
-> EvC
-> PQs
-> rework abilities

hint: the order is not random! Where applicable ofc!

If the Devs read this, you are doing an awesome job and I'm not complaining in any way just adding some input on how i would have gone about since I think it's funny to write down ideas :)

So OP: I would like to leave some feedback BUT with a different View as how to implement. This is how I would have gone about it.

1. Character - Core of the game.
2. Interaction - What makes it an MMO.
3. Objectives - What do you need to do in order to progress.

Under each category I have listed what i think should be done in the order that follows.

1. Character
- Abilities
- Specilization
- Renown Spec

2. Interaction
- Party
- Warband
- Guild

3. Objectives
- RvR / Zone Mechanics
--- Keeps & Locking Zones
- SC
--- All that involves the SC experience.
- Vendors
--- RvR vendors with both gear and wepons
--- Crest System with wepons
- Instance
--- ToVL & Tombs
- Pairings
--- Rest of the pairings

Yeah, you just added the details to my larger picture. Anyhow,

What is important to me is that devs DON'T WASTE TIME on things that aren't wanted by players. Perfect example: why waste time on every single quest? If XP is a problem, just increase it on those that players DO WANT. Or on a whole pairing that isn't as requested as others. Those are HUGE time savers.

I like that idea
