I noticed it in a city as well. I watched my 75% parry IB fail to parry so hard. Something is up.

Update: Something has been broken on guard dmg vs parry. I cannot guard anyone anymore without it killing me flat out all the time now and looking at my combat logs I'm parrying only like 5% of my guard dmg hits. Devs need to take a serious look at this.

Actually I think players need to take it seriously and bug track it with evidence.
I tried to reproduce failed.
If we can BT it with evidence then we can poke kaelang to try push its priority, till it’s reproducable/ understood it’s not so much a dev can do

Seeing that it's replicable (I can replicate it every time), I'm going to submit a bugtracker for it as another member suggested.

When I don't guard anyone as a 2H Ironbreaker I can survive okay-ish. When I do guard someone, my guard damage alone absolutely melts me...

What kinda attacks are you guarding there? with the damage so low it looks like a Slayers Reckless Gamble? Can Reckless Gamble damage be parried?Oo

Heh comes to think of it yep- attacks from Rampaging slayer can't be parried, so guard dmg from Reckless Gamble or whatever that slayer is hitting the guarded target with can't be parried as well- working as intended if that's the case.

doubt anything is borked tbh, in all fairness i could claim guard dmg is 100% parry"able"... But im not that stupid so i wont.
I just gott lucky here in that screen & you gott unlucky (& also over estimeted your parry it seems ontop of it), avoidens was & more then likely still is capped at 75%. (There is alot of other factors that can effect your avoidens as a tank so keep that in mind in pvp)

Just gett a big enough samplesize and have 75% actuall parry and i would bett your parry on guard (& normal dmg) would be on 75% if no other factors are involved.

And yes Guard dmg is a B***H & it can wreck you for sure, so learn to play around it.

Ok, can you stop spreading this weird misinformation? BASE guard parry rate is 25% due to the attack having 1 STR vs your WS. It is capped at 75%.

To parry guard damage, no. For a bunch of other useful things, yes.
