Played Order for a bit a couple nights ago and joined a semi- organized WB. We were going from zone to zone defending keeps, actually waiting in the bushes or at WC purposefully for Destro to drop the outer door so we could wipe them on inner and farm the defense tic. Other than that we just sat around at BOs.
I'm not throwing shade on that gameplay or anything, it is purely an optimization of rewards for time invested but it doesn't really feel good on the other end. Honestly felt bad for Destro, could see myself among the players we wiped, keep after keep, sometimes multiple times on the same one. We reaped the rewards, they got jack sh*t to show for it.
When I play my main on Destro we do our best to take keeps (takes ages now as there is real opposition and Order has a LOT of good classes for siege defense). When finally we reach the Fort that we of course lose as is customary, everyone screams at each other then logs off; Order takes undefended keeps, Forts and goes to City (that I miss because I'm logged off sleeping).
This has pretty much been the Destro experience in my timezone lately. Royals acquisition has slowed to a crawl as a result. In the current state of the game I'd rather gear my Order toons than bang my head against keep/fort walls on Destro.

Well it's different each day, for example yesterday early evening Order had 3-4 organised warbands on pushing zones and taking keeps in succession. I log on a few hours later and Des now have the numbers and have pushed all the way back and are on their second Fort. Absolutely, what I wrote was just my experience lately in my time zone. I'm sure the game is much different in primetime NA/EU and I am sure things will become more interesting again.
Just wanted to highlight a couple of things that are, IMO, issues:
- defending keeps is easier and more rewarding than taking keeps
- actively trying to push zones with even numbers provides the least amount of rewards despite being the hardest thing to accomplish
- Destro struggles HARD at Forts
- activity vs. reward ratio feels kind of OK throughout the game and is a really strong point of this MMO however i'd argue Vanq/Invader/Sov acquisition rate will slow down dramatically and discourage alting/new players.

Attacking is super tough compared to defense, defense yields way way more rewards that you can practically chain super easily as you only need to chill out a bit before door goes up, zing reward. Altho this causes people to actually defend now so in that sense it is better.
On the downside people hug the keeps now like no tomorrow. Roamed praag after Order defends keep, numbers say something like 100 destro vs. 200 order in zone because destro moved away. Do not find a thing before outer door is up, and only then stumble into a order wb moving to wc to swap zone for defense. Door fixing should require some proper active presence in the zone.

Last night while Stonewatch was happening (the failed one, not the one that succeeded) we could find barely ANY order to fight with.
The numbers were healthy 40-40 each but every time we go around the map we find nothing and all the order were doing is sit in the keep. Came to the point that we started one siege (and supported another) just to try and lure them out for a fight. Probably one of the more boring nights I had in this game. Just fight us

It gives you the Renown but not the gear would be my guess.

I for one am glad we got rid of the sprint to city and people throwing zones. Now people do no longer respawn in keep the war has become more defensive, with some interesting results. I mean, the battle of the Quarry in Reikland were stunning and so much fun. A zone now has value and makes it worth to defend. That you ain't getting in means you have to get organised better, just like you always told Order to do

If you want fun 24 vs 24 organize it with some other group and fight it out in the open in some off zone.
