Leveling Advice for Beginner

I'm a new player, and have been having a lot of issues with leveling up. I'm lvl19 tank now, and on average it's taking me around 4-6 hours per level, which feels really slow. I read on the forums that it should only take 30-40 hours to hit rank 40, and I'm definitely leveling WAY slower than that.

Basically, the three ways I know to level are RvR, scenarios, and PvE quests/public quests. Scenarios definitely feel the fastest, but I find that I lose >95% of them unless I'm in a pre-made group, and on order side I can almost never find any available teams to join (or anyone to join mine if I start one). Thus far I've only managed to get into 1 pre-made group in two weeks, and I zoomed up in levels like crazy in that group.

RvR seems really good when there's a big fight going on, but usually those only seem to last for like 30min and then be over for a few hours. I haven't found a group yet that keeps going for longer than 30min, and if they do it's usually semi-afk running supplies which is really low exp.

I've tried PvE/PQs also, but as a tank they seem REALLY hard. I kill things super-slow, and I have no way to regain health, so after 2-3 mobs I have to wait a full minute or so to regain my health. Quests are also EXTREMELY hard to follow for me. I'll go to a warcamp and pick up all the quests, only to find that none of them are remotely in the same area, and send me to all 4 corners of the world map and back for a measly 5k exp.

Does anyone have any advice/tips?https://null/ https://null/ https://jpgtopdf.onl/

Don't believe people who say it takes 30-40 hours to level 40, that is someone who knows exactly where to go probably in a group of people all doing the same thing farming mobs, incredibly boring way to level also. It probably takes me a few weeks for me to get a new character to level 40.

I do a mixture of rvr, scens and pve, for quests use the map and you can put a tick by the quests so they show red areas on the map where to complete them (limited amount only) The travel quests are only in Warcamps rather than the usual chapter areas, so if you don't want travel quests pick up quests from the other areas.

Tank is hard doing pve though, can be good to get a full on dps armour set/weapon/jewelry so you can kill faster in pve, or try find a group of people to level with

Just curious: which class did you pick as a tank? Some tank can be skilled very offensive.

For getting groups for scenarios keep an eye on the guild tab for guilds who have a decent amount of people online during the hours you play. I don't see the point in joining small guilds to be honest, there are only a few decent sized guilds who take lower level players, ask to join and the people there will probably help you out with questions, groups and probably give you some good lower level talismans also.

With double XP this weekend, there will probably be a lot of people leveling alts so this should be a good time to find groups. You also might consider dipping out of RvR to farm some mobs around or slightly above your level. It's boring as hell, but can get some extra XP and potentially gold and materials for crafting and/or leveling up scavenging/salvaging.
