Have you ever played slayer?
Just adding onto the point this has the potential of actually reducing build variety for WE, by forcing them into Witchbrew specswonshot wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 2:58 pmAnd I think that is the one possitive to take from this.
More variety.
But the Caster inside me is also raising an eye brow because when was the last time anyone complained about BW/Sorc, honestly..
Instead since sorc and BW were slowly getting replaced in orvr with more classes, a welcome change! we have seen Hold the Line getting a 5% damage reduction stacking effect on top.
If we are in melee range we have to fight through Challenges and Bellows like other mdps, but with less mobility to flank around the sheild wielding tanks to get out of HtL effects and vs healers they get higher disrupt chance from their base willpower.
With that being said we have the benefit of resist mitigation instead of psy/ws/armor.
All I am saying, is that if the core issue lays in ranked 6v6, is anyone then complaining about BW/Sorc in there, as these are the two classes who are getting affected the most from this. And lets not fool ourselves into thinking that we are anywere near a BW/sorc bombing meta in orvr either. So again I am simply wondering, WHY are we getting TB NOW?
Specing a Caster right now you can go for crit and mainstats offensively.
Defensively you can pick between Deftdefender amazing stat value, FS, and now Trivial Blows.
Sorc and BW will still spec the same way but yet an other caster counter is being added.
When do we get a teleport to help with mobility in return instead of pushed further and further out of any 6v6, orvr, city play?
I heard the rumor that devs think casters are too dominant in RvR. You must be 2 years late on that opservation, but now you push slayer even more in the driving seat because guess which class will love this patch in cities and ranked. Bingo. The class with no crittatic and sustain from repeated autoattacks with a healdebuff on top of id and rampage.

Why would it? It's not like everyone has remotely enough renown points to spec it besides other important things. This isn't live, where crit renown was not that important, because with vessel weapons and 10/15% crit souls we had enough.sighy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 3:47 pmJust adding onto the point this has the potential of actually reducing build variety for WE, by forcing them into Witchbrew specswonshot wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 2:58 pmAnd I think that is the one possitive to take from this.

My slayer is 80+ and I had used this tactic pretty often (as most of the Beavers' slayers did when I was playing with them back in 2019-20). And yours..?
And it continued witv "now nerv WEs cause they got pounce"Krima wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 1:05 pmsquiggastolemybike wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 12:28 pmGood advice. Can't disagree. However, changes in RoR seem to be based on the whining of average population which is hopelessly bad at the game. Dalen is listening to nonsense of one angry mediocre player all day and seemingly getting ideas from him (that is just one example).balvor877 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 12:09 pm I've worked more than 10 years in software development and I tell you one thing: "You should never let source code developers make product changing decisions." No offense, I have worked as coder as well but it is really true.
Why? They don't use their own product enough as enduser, they don't talk to these people enough, they are usually busy with certain problems and don't see the bigger picture and they usually take the easy road to fix problems - which often results in mediocre solutions or solutions nobody wanted.
So the thing I have learned: Let product developers and or community people talk with enduseres, do the analysis and discussion, draw conclusions and then discuss that with the source code devs. Only then you will develop a product into the right direction. Everything else goes into the wrong direction.
Looking at the last few patches I don't have the feeling that they were on point, nor what people wanted or expected.
Yes..
WHs got their grp utility after:

Bug Fixes
- The damage bonus from turrets now works like the tooltips say, +4% damage per stack up to a maximum of +20%. Previously they gave +5% per stack, up to a maximum of +40%.
How long will it stay as this ?![]()
