That wld actually be enough to beat most of the BO I read comments from since last patch tbh.
But no, a bit higher.

I’m a 82 Blork with BiS SnB and BiS 2H. I also have a 55 SM alt. Am I qualified to make comments?

Players who play tanks mainly are critical to the success of this game. Those of us with experience need to share what we think. You don’t agree with my POV for some weird reason and think the BO is just fine as is. I can tell you the SM is WAY more fun and feels WAY more powerful at the moment. That my opinion.

No one needs or wants a Blork anymore. I can find groups easily because of my reputation and guild tag.

I know that if I had a chosen of equal gear and and my Blork I would 100% bring the chosen and not the Blork.

That’s a big statement coming from someone who knows good tanking.

I agree, not unplayable at all. I’m just not sure what my identity is anymore. Like where do I fit in the big picture and also the smaller picture.

For example Chosen have very strong auras and long ST punt. This makes them a STRONG choice for WB play and ST group and Ranked.

BGs have well established 2H meta and mega punt that makes them godly in ST groups and Ranked and SC play. Not as much in WB as their shield spec lacks utility.

BO...... Well we don’t have a spot in Ranked. We don’t have a spot in the ST group, at least not meta. WB play we have some minor useful items like stat steal(unspecced it’s 75 not 114 from 2H) and group absorb for like 580 in BiS every 10 sec not every 5 sec as no more CDR. Literally nothing to justify not bringing another chosen to cover more Auras and ST punt.

BO are good tanks no doubt but they lack the utility and flavour the other tanks bring.

SM on the other hand is all sorts of fun now and stacks utility and impact like no other tank in the game. Also it’s tons of fun.

Even IBs who are crapped on all the time have great identity and a solid place in ranked and ST and WB play guarding slayers.

The Blork is the only one without an identity and a real reason to make people say “oh man we really need a Blork!” Except in PvE.......

BO are total crap in ranked, 100% agree with you.

They are still good as a blob tank, stat steal is huge even if only 75.
Ppl drool about auras, but if we are talking about stats auras, stat steal is better, works on almost all stats, including initiative.

Best absorb destro side.
Best (tied) morale.
CDIncrease is godlike to kill WPs.
aoe snare, disorient (that ppl don t like cuz you cannot see it on any scoreboard, but is also very good).
And more.

It seems on par with SnB BG with CH prolly better in many groups, but in squishier groups, BO>CH.

Anyway, im ready to move on. Its not a good feeling for BO these days, but life goes on. Im sure one day we will have the answer to where the BO fits now.. For now Im going to focus on ALTs and trying out my new BO build in City..

experienced means venture deep into corners. not just meta.
try various builds and skills, set one skill and maximize it's effect.
see how far you can go.
rotation and style will change. will find pros and cons.
during experiment you'll die a lot. a small but necessary price.
maybe journey itself is reward.

every tank is buffer/debuffer, crowd controller, line breaker, wall.
mentioning skills are tools for it.
