The game feels different, the global cool down change being one of the larger ones, depending on the class. The campaign is tremendously different. Small group play has had many "nerfs." RoR's direction has always seemed to be primarily large scale oRvR and classes, in the beginning classes were "balanced" by people invested in the game relative to classes they played. The good news is that over time, they all have received adjustments that have either gutted, or completely changed the way certain classes are played. Good, Bad, or Indifferent.

The best news is, the game is still here if you want to play it.

NA play time is getting pretty anemic on West Coast prime time. East coast you can still get fights. T1 is pretty dead, tho. Just not enough players to support it NA late night.

RoR isn't AoR.

Small scale group teamwork has been gutted to the extent it is rare to see 6man roaming guilds fighting outnumbered. Actually, rare to see at all. Devs got smashed on live by 6-12mans I think and have made it so the playstyle is pretty much nonexistant here unfortunately.
Fighting outnumbered received severe nerfs in terms of group play but better buffs in terms of fighting in the lakes in general.
City and LoTd is weird but fun. Personal preference whether you enjoy it.
Currency is unified so its easier to grind and not based on bags from zone locks. As long as you cans stomach farming sc's.
There are only pickup groups so building proper chemistry and a read for teammates playstyles isn't really a thing. PuG's have largely become the substitute for guilds and premade pugs think it is the definitoon of organization.
Bolster is much more effective. You can play in the lakes from whenevr you get access and be reasonably effective. Great change.
Again, on Order, it is rare to see a full GWB representing. Its rare to see any order representing now I think of it outside of the couple hours a week there are gwbs up. I have not noticed any reasonably effective kill groups. See aforementioned pug comment.
RvR is laregly watching the enemy and not fighting, in favor of running supplies from BO's to keeps. This change favors ganking and the nonexistant large GWB's as it encourages blobbing too as wbs are heavily reluctant to fight outside of keeps. The days of constant large fights are gone and RoR seems to prefer less intense fights than occur much less frequently but have no impact on the RvR campaign other than at keeps. But keep fights are keep fights still.
Classes have been tweaked. You can get a feel for this using the Career Builder at the top of the screen. Certain classes are heavily buffed, while some classes are extremely weak intentionally. You have to remember the server is run by people who do only care about themselves and how they can benefit from the server, so check the classes and abilities out individually and decide for yourself. Defences and mitigation play a larger part in the combat compared to AoR. In the same vein, expect to be heavily outgeared despite the changes to currency. There was a 'bug' that helped Destro get multiple sets of SoV weeks after the set was brought in, so expect to work for your gear and have damage heaviliy mitigated, your own mitigation cut through at low levels, and your heals will be exponentially stronger as you gear up to the extent that if you reach BiS you will have NO PROBLEM doing your job. As mentioned, the grind is much harder in every way, from an Order perspective. I think Destro is easier.
EU primetime seems to have not much problem with players, just content.

Cutting GDC short to cancel abilities has been fixed. A welcome change that was hitherto said to not be possible...

Do some research via the class builder and hop in.

also keep in mind that even the Wiki changes are not complete.
WL example - no mention of reduced Pounce range or the snare change from 5sec cooldown 10sec duration to : 10sec cooldown 5sec duration ...

also keep in mind that even the Wiki changes are not complete.

Anyone can edit on the wiki. So if you think some informations are missing, just add them :)
