How many hours to level up a character then to unlock best gear?

How many hours to level up and unlock best gear to not be at disadvantage to enjoy the game solo in PvP?

I'd estimate that it takes an average of about one hour per level to level up your character by spamming scenarios and winning most of them. This way, you will reach around 40/45, but you will need to reach 58 RR and acquire Vanquisher gear for most classes to be somewhat effective.

It can be difficult to enjoy this game solo since it is primarily focused on mass PvP. However, for the best gear, you will need to reach 78 RR and obtain many crests, and the time needed to acquire them can vary depending on how much time you play. It could take anywhere from 1 to 6 months, I'd guess.

For me on my witchelf, it took about 10 days /played to get to rr80 and get my endgame sov mix. BIS for some classes includes the tri/vict jewel (9999 crests), which could add a significant amount of playtime to that. I think by the time you get to high 60's / low 70's, and are in Invader/Bloodlord/Victorious/Triumphant, you'll feel like you're in a pretty good spot.

I would add a 2x (or higher?) factor if you don't know the game, but get in with a good group of people/guild early. Perhaps 5x higher is you try to solo/pug your way to the top as a new players.

Everyone has different experiences at levelling and levelling speed.
I would say its pretty easy to get 10 levels a day playing casually, you can easily do more but that depends if your winning or losing most of the scenarios.

Once you're rank 40 you should be almost renown rank 50, I would say at this point try to get 10 renown levels a week, the higher you get the slower the levels will be. The last week I managed to get a character that was renown rank 60 up to renown rank 74 by just running scenarios and with a below average win rate.

As for your bis gear, you should get enough crests from scenarios that once your renown rank 78 you can pretty much equip all the sov you need, I'm currently still at 6989 crests and still have 4 more renown levels to go.

As for wards, you can buy all gear up to conq with war crests, after that you can start saving them and do pve for your vanq and invader ward.

If you play for 2-4 hours every day, know what you're doing, save crests and do PvE for gear and tome unlocks. I'd say you can reach L40 RR80 with full SoV within 1-3 months.

A fair warning: pretty much every player here has played for a long time before answering your question, and so you should generally assume it will take you more time than it wa said here. My first character needed 20 in game days to get to 80 BiS (at that time).

id say 2-3 months to get 5pcs sov for causal players. triumpants+jewelry take another 3 months.

I'm the most casual player out here and have always played in random pugs war bands during some weekends a month, never reached rr80 but..

Zealot RR56 6 days with conqueror gear, this is the first char I created years ago and got to unlock the wards still.
Bright Wizard RR59 5 days 14hrs with Vanquisher gear levelled doing scenarios and orvr, little PVE
Swordmaster RR47 1 day 22 hrs with Conqueror gear levelled doing scenarios mainly and some PVE
Runepriest lvl 31 RR53 2 days 14 hrs levelled only on ORVR already

I've been enjoyning the Runepriest relaxed way of leveling through Orvr only, I already have anhilator and conqueror gear to unlock wards and crests to buy vanquisher easily as well as the genesis stuff.
