Every skill has unique animation, recognize what enemy is doing by looking.

No if you mean to notify you what ability is being used while it is being cast (presuming it is not instant) and BEFORE it affects you.
When it affects you it's in the combat log. Good luck scrolling through it.
You should also check "buffhead" addon in case you have never heard of it. Maybe that is the correct answer to a wrong question
