Dwarf Starting Quest "Filth in the Rough" broken

Just made a slayer and one of the very first starting quests asks you to find crates of cannonballs around Mordrin's Anvil, but the crates don't spawn. I had to look up someone doing the quest on youtube to see what I was missing and even in the comments from three days ago someone said its bugged for them too.
