All we need is an UI display to tell people how many of a certain archtype are in queue, like we have for ranked queue. Then people can adjust their class to increase the odds of winning.

Re: SC Quee system rework status
The easy soloution is just leaving scs you don't want to play
Personally I don't waste 4mins in a sc with garbage lineups vs premades

A reasonable RvR system that could make the majority happy http://imgur.com/HL6cgl7
Re: SC Quee system rework status
As a cherry on top, Uchos proposal to treat scenario spawn points as warcamps and provide their dmg buffs/debuffs can make turn one sided scenarios to a better outcome.

Re: SC Quee system rework status
scs used to be fun, now that 95% of scs are 500-0 one sided farm feast.
Re: SC Quee system rework status
Yes and no, the queuer is definitely in need of tuning. I can play a healer and have 5 other healers and 5 tanks and 1 dps in my scenario, so i switch a class and i will have 10 dps and 2 tanks. It happens all the time,Sulorie wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 10:25 am Forcing balanced groups is nonsense, it only extends queue times. The most recent change to Scenarios is by no means the Team's Scenario Rework, and a new matchmaking system is still very much in development and planned for a future release.

We appreciate all the feedback meanwhile. We only ask that you give it a chance, try it out for multiple sessions and then let us know your thoughts after seeing it in action!

Re: SC Quee system rework status
Scenarios were just as bad in live toward the end. The problem gets worse as the game ages because premades are made of veterans and their gear gets better over time, while pugs are largely a mix of newish/casual players, whose gear remains stagnant (since players are always leaving and being replaced with new players).Speedyluck wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 12:03 pm scs used to be fun, now that 95% of scs are 500-0 one sided farm feast.
Another problem is RoR combat itself. Small advantages create massive disparities in performance.
Also, RoR scenarios are terrible. 80% of them are simple meatgrinders that force both sides to fight over one objective. The only scenario that stands out to me as providing anything consistently like a close match with some fun fights is Old Dwarf Road.
Re: SC Quee system rework status
Whilst a new system could improve the experience, ultimately i think it is a problem beyond fixing from the point of view of those that just want a fun casual match ( unless they are willing to form premades themselves).
The one '' solution '' that would instantly improve the experience for the casual player would be to prevent all kind of voice com( in theory, however unrealistic it may be)-
The best advice is to just learn how to ''surf'' the sc experience, e.g what hours to join , which ones to avoid, don't feed premades etc. I see a lot of players that complain in-game yet they just keep entering over and over to be farmed, senseless.
Then finally class balance could help a bit as well, as ''OP slayers'' were toned down the experience improved from a destruction point of view.
Likewise Sorcs are incredible overpowered in scenarios when in a premade and devs really need to take a deep look at how much singletarget damage this particular class is able to do ( hint: Magic resistance debuffs are overpowered in this game, lower them by at least 50% to allow the resistance stat to actually function.)

May we ask then what was the intended goal of it?

Re: SC Quee system rework status
Yes of course!
These changes are part of us trying to shift behavior from being AFK to more active gameplay and participation in Scenarios, which has been an issue for a long-time, not just from a gameplay experience point of view but also players reporting each other for being AFK to Gamemasters.
It is not a final solution by any means and we are open to feedback - but a greater rework to scenarios and their matchmaking is still in development, that we expect to solve the core issues.
Also currently the War Camp buffs are unfortunately not working properly so that part of the update isn't working as it should.
