What is your favorite type of rvr and why?

So far i only tried scs because I havent done research about how to participate in other forms of rvr. They are a fun enough but i imagine there are more exciting options.

Scenarios you can join at any level.

Each zone in the game has RvR lakes, which flag you for pvp (rvr). They have objectives to capture and defend or attack, and Tier 2-4 pairings have Keeps which have lords to beat and you use a ram and other weapons. T4 also has forts, where you fight before you attack the opposing city!

So these lakes have 3 forms of RvR - roaming (fighting away from keep and BOs), battle objectives, and Keeps (and in T4, you get to cap Forts and then siege a city!)

I also believe if you flag for RvR and someone else flags for RvR, you can fight - even if its in the PVE areas (not sure though)

There is also Duels with players too.


I try to mix it all. While doing PVE I'l que for Scenarios. Then I go to rvr lakes and engage in everything.


Remember, level 1-15 is called Tier 1 (first set of pairings) and level 16-40+ is for Tier 2 (all other pairings). If you are too low level for an area in T2 or T1, you get bolstered, which will give you a boost in level and stats (temporarily) while in RvR lakes.

Have fun and take your time. If you get lost, just follow what other players are doing. Support them and help them and you will get the hang of it.

smallscale rvr is what I prefer.
these zerg parties going back and forth is like watching your washing machine going round and round

Smallscale rvr and zergsurfing. Scens were my favourite untill they bring barriers and removed guards everywhere so fall far behind.

Solo roam orvr I prefer. If it's real slow I may que up for a few disc sc's.

smallscale mostly. either 6-12man roaming or scenarios. city can also be really fun and challenging.

sadly, organized 24v24 sweaty city matches simply doesn't happen anymore (last full organized 24v24 cities took place in February and March, with 1 in May, as far as I can recall). at best you get 2 12's or 4 6's and one of them leaves after a single wipe which ruins the match + city has some anti-fun bugs atm.
