non-tank that doesn't suck in RVR?

I play solo..and I guess when people say solo I assume they mean they're not in a group of friends/guild group and are just joining sceanrios and warbands solo right? I have a ironbreaker...I COULD make a 2 handed tank class like swordmaster or chosen for fun...but is there a NON-mage type melee that doesn't just suck in RVR zergsand the like? Seems like anything not a tank everyone says just is turrible outside of these small engagement situations, but 90% of game (granted Im very low level ) seems to be large group combat.

Probably mara or wl is what you want. Wl for now has a problem with a pet so a problem with solo roaming, Loaner aoe build works fine for mass rvr though.

When you say 'solo roaming' you dont actually mean running around the map solo? I'm new to game but I woudln't think you'd actually run into anyone that you could fight 1v1 "solo" or does "solo" simply mean you're joining sceanrio or rvr as a solo person without apremade?

When people refer to "solo roaming," they usually mean seeking 1v1 duels while staying on their own.

That said, this game is heavily group-oriented making solo play a niche approach. If you decide to roam solo, be ready to face zergs and be killed by any groups/wb you going to face. They simply see you as free renown points.

You need a kind of mindset to do that

Yeah that makes sense....I guess my questino is..even if it's Niche....how on earth are you ever going to find someone solo to kill? Is there even a reason for a player at level 40 to be out on the world map alone? It's not like they're farming stuff right

You can do it and any class really can solo. But as others have stated a lot is depending on your tolerance to get run down by everyone. That being said, I love playing my slayer the most of any class I play solo. It's not OP like AM is, has some serious counterplay issues but at same time can do well in the right circumstances.

I solo roam because it's the most fun for me period. Why I don't like group play/warband play is competition. Most warbands can roam around and have a fair amount of impunity unless another warband or better skilled players are out. Solo roaming I need to worry about everyone, so I prefer it. Easy mode doesn't mean fun for me.

Solo roamers look for 1v1 or 1vx fights. Not many do it outside of stealth classes and dps AM/Sham, but there's a small number of regular players that are out fairly often.
