As a Magus main this change to engineer keg ability would be fine I also think 2 sec cast time is to much.

As a Magus main this change to engineer keg ability would be fine I also think 2 sec cast time is to much.
Why does it matter if you are a magus main?

Dont know why you are comparing two different abilities 1:1. If you want keg buffed just say so

They are. For me BW > SORC. In all ways, but Im playin destro side. The magus has its own up and downs, same for engi. The KEG is OP. 2s cast is not that long.

I think well oiled machine should make all constructs instant kthxbai.

But what if constructs was castable on the move, perhaps with a % movement speed penalty?
Would this make the gameplay more fluid and faster paced which is one of engis weakpoints? Maybe keg should be able to be thrown like the landmine, hell - maybe even the magnet should work like this? Ah, to be the realm champion mite b cool huh? :mrgreen:

Close quaters tactic does not affect bugman's best. And even it it would, your Keg gets set back 5 times in a row from the smallest aoe hits you get.

I play both magus and engineer 84rr, both abilities are situational and each has its own pros and cons, you seem to be placing too much emphasis on these abilities, not dying under 2 dps with this ability sounds absurd.
