Pvp points are full in wounds and a bit of crit and weapon skill. Got the 4th Gene is needed as well. And cloak.
Everything is socketed with 24 weapon skill. Can resocket, got gold. Will get another inva piece today, perhaps another one next week.
EDIT: I can get Subjugator rifle and upgrade it to Fortress as well.
EDIT AGAIN: I am mainly interested in small scale combat 1v1, 2v2, etc. In orvr and scenarios I think I am doing fairly fine.
What spec would you recommend? I am now full tinkerer with some grenadier and I am getting absolutely destroyed by people who I should be killing.
I get it, I am not a good player. But still...
A player 22/35 (no, I am not kidding) killed me three times and I did not stand a chance.
I get it that the scaling is probably broken, he's melee and it seems horrible for engi, he has VERY good gear for lvl 22/35, but still...

You have to make a choice for your first spec as every spec needs a different gear setup.
You are doing some random things like slotting weapon skill to play tinkerer/grenadier or buying invader without knowing what to play.
If you want to play 1v1 or rvr skirmish then you'll have to pick between rifleman AA or regen meme build.
If you also want to play scenarios then rifleman, any other specs is griefing.
Rifleman is in my opinion a better spec than regen, it has better match ups, it plays better as a zerg surfer, it is more skilled as you need to kite and learn to space (which you probably have trouble to regarding your lose to a lowbie mdps) so it kills way more. Regen spec is way more safe but has a very low kill potential, you wont kill anything other than some WE, mdps and lowbies.
Rifleman is also very squishy so expect to triple pots a lot, i would say it is almost impossible to play solo without it.
Grenadier is a good aoe spec but I'm not sure that what you are looking for and tank magnet is pointless outside of org/guild wb.
Once you know what you want to play, it will be easier to guide you about gear, build...

Sure, I don't understand the game well, granted the situation.
I thought invader would be better than vanq because it's higher.
How should I go about rifleman AA?

At first vanq 4 pc with bloodlord rifle and fort spanner. Combine vanq with some senti/hv or invader as you seem fit. You will need some WS to hit thro armor but its by far most fun build i have played. To sc's you can try to get the crit tactic from right as its a bit more static gameplay anyway

I used to rock conq + beastlord + Genesis with subj weapons at that lvl, with conq procc i believe i had more than enough bs to free up a stat-tacticslot
It left me incredibly glassy but with deep rifleman/phos shells from grenadiers i did a LOT of dmg.
It was good times! As engi you gotta abuse your knockbacks + flee with ap pots at times to survive, also disarm is very important, detaunt before casting snipe in a 1v1 etc. High skill ceiling class, but when you get good you have the tools to deal with most i think
I think this kept me at a nice gear level until sov

Yeah, engi is very unforgiving when doing mistakes, but you have the kit to kite even small parties.

Now if you are interested on rifleman the best mix possible with the invader you already bought is:
Invader Helm 3% pen
Invader Shoulder 2% crit
Triumphant Back 2% crit
Triumphant Chest 3% pen
Invader gloves 10% AAS
Triumphant Belt 30 ranged power
Triumphant Shoes 2% crit
Invader jewel
Triumphant Chest, Belt, Shoes are a staple for rifleman engie (and also for grenadier as you can play 5sov/4triu, 7 triu). You will keep them for BIS as you need the 4 pieces bonus 130BS proc.
Sadly you bought Invader Chest which isnt very good. So you will still have to pay for triumphant chest and for invader helm. You could also run a mix of invader, sent with jewel and bloodlord or even HV and save crests.
You will have to run bastion stair dungeon for BIS weapon, fortress spanner + bloodlord rifle but fortress spanner + your reverence rifle is okeish.
Main Tactics:
Coordinated Fire (always)
Fightin Chance (always)
Thunderer (in my opinion always because 10% pen and AA on move is just impossible to ignore)
Handcrafted scope (the best one to combo with thunderer)
You could replace Handcrafted scope with Tracer Rounds in scenarios but the previous combo is already super strong.
