Suggestion 80feet non CC abilities on 2-3s STATIONARY cast time should have a relaxed last range check.
The longer casts is already so inferior so the changes made to rein in pulls just doesn’t play well

on live the casts finished even if the player left the range so long as the cast bar was around 90% before they did, I believe this should absolutely be the case here.

It's a good suggestion, having long casts fail makes them feel bad to use. If it needs balancing perhaps a damage penalty or increased chance to be disrupted if the cast lands outside of range.

100 percent a problem that should be fixed. Sorc and BW play is not enjoyable in dynamic environments because of this. Only good option is to dot everything because casts fail.

It used to work like "true timestamping" meaning you needed to use correct order. Sorc used using WoP before Chillwind means that resis debuff wont apply to WoP even if you use chillwind afterwards.
Ranged skills+Melee Channels used to have 25ft range before it canceled cast/melee channel. So 80ft abilities would break at 105ft. Melee channels like Thc,Rend Sl,Relentless etc would break at 30ft but still needed within 5ft to start the channel.
That is the best way to handle this imo. I think alot of the performance issues would disappear because the amount of calculations that used to happen vs what happens now. Now conditions checked at the start, during and at the end of cast. Vs before if you had 240 toughness buff from shaman Hot when people apply dots/debuffs that 240 toughness buff is working even if its not up for the dots/debuffs you received whilst having 240 toughness hot active.
