Help out a newb picking a tank

Hi ! New player here, I've been testing classes to try and find something I like. I really don't enjoy being so squishy, getting deleted in three seconds gets in the way of learning the game or class, so I was thinking on playing a tank in destro side.

Seeing as the game is very group dependant, I would like to ask for some recommendations on what tank to play and pros and cons of the each tank.

Thanks !

Chosen is a great starting tank on Destro. Simple to learn, very basic to play so you can focus on watching the flow of the battle around you, and still very useful to your team. I'd recommend that to a new player for sure.

I mainly play chosen 80+ i agree with the above statement. Chosen is pretty straight forward. Does not have many spells that require rotational gameplay to be efficient and has incredible team utility through the help of passive auras.

BG i am not to experienced with BUT it feels the best out of all tanks i played. (Same as IB) It requires a lot of involvement and has a lot of situational skills. BG pretty much has a button to press for every scenario as well as the highest skill-sceiling of any tank.

BO i am also not the most experienced with, around RR 70. But if you want to go for a defensive tank BO might be a good choice, due to being able to get incredibly tanky with high block rates early on.

A quick personal ranking in terms of:
Difficulty easiest to hardest
  • Chosen > BO > BG
Style best to worst
  • Chosen > BO > BG
Desirability most to least smallscale
  • smallscale: Chosen > BG > BO
  • largescale: Chosen > BO > BG
