I'm just going to rattle these off. I have tried searching but am either unsuccessful or am unsure if the information is up to date:
1. Re Conditional Parry tactics: Does BORC 5% parry from great weapon mastery and the 10-20% parry tactic from the right mastery tree stack?
2. Does taunt and "You Wot??" stack? +30% from taunt and +15% damage from the ability
3. Does the +25% more critical damage from the orc tactic affect just the crit bonus part of the damage contribution or is it simply +25% of all damage of an ability that crits?
4. When ranged damage that hits my guarded target hits me, apart from block does it get checked against parry or dodge/disrupt? If anyone has the full mechanical explanation of guard damage I would appreciate it.
4b) When checking guard damage does tank character facing matter?
5. When a character is flying mid air (or bunny hopping), can they defend attacks? does guard still work?
Thank you

Re: Mechanics Questions
1. Yes they should stack.
2. Also yes they should stack.
3. Critical damage itself it's a 35-55% range of additional damage. Crit damage tactics move that range. In this case to 60-80% additional damage on crits. In theory at least, actual formula in the game code was slightly different.
4. If tank uses the shield, chance to block is rolled first. If it's not blocked, secondary check happens against the tank parry.
5. Defence checks work normally. Guard works as long as it's within the range.

Re: Mechanics Questions
Regarding #2, Taunt and You Wot are both have the "NonStacking" flag set on the ability viewer so they shouldn't stack. Assuming the viewer is up-to-date of course.Gravord wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2026 5:17 pm 1. Yes they should stack.

Re: Mechanics Questions
You linked the old you wot, the new one is this one https://war-abilityviewer.dalen.io/ability/35694, it also has the "NonStacking" flag but I just tested it on dummies and the incoming damage debuff on target actually stacks with taunt.Omegus wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2026 7:17 pmRegarding #2, Taunt and You Wot are both have the "NonStacking" flag set on the ability viewer so they shouldn't stack. Re: Mechanics Questions
Actually I'm even dumber than that. You Wot is an outgoing damage effect applied to the attacker but Taunt is an incoming damage effect applied to the target. They stack because the effects are different.arturziomas wrote: Thu Jun 11, 2026 6:16 amYou linked the old you wot, the new one is this one https://war-abilityviewer.dalen.io/ability/35694, it also has the "NonStacking" flag but I just tested it on dummies and the incoming damage debuff on target actually stacks with taunt.Omegus wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2026 7:17 pmRegarding #2, Taunt and You Wot are both have the "NonStacking" flag set on the ability viewer so they shouldn't stack.
