[WH] Gap closer?

Greetings and salutations!
I'm returning from a loooong break and was eager to play WH again. I dusted of my old level 6x WH and dove into the lakes - oh joy!

But, after the change in stealth duration I find my self having issues.... If in the past I couldn't catch my target, I could simple sneak off again, but with only 30 seconds stealth, I more than often find my self way to exposed (and stomped ).

The WE have the stealth pounce to jump targets making a run for it, but my question to fellow WH (and WE) is: What do you use as a gap closer in August 2026?

I guess spec mid tree and grab the speed boost while stealthed tactic

Speed boost from mid tree is not a solution to majority of the situations unfortunately - 20% and 30 seconds will not translate into a big gain. And you lose a tactic slot.

What I use (however I do it out of stealth) is Improved Flee. It is 30% boost and you can use Snap Shot. Not the best solution but it works.

Seal of Destruction is another speed boost and it is stronger but you can't use Snap Shot or the buff will end.

But the best gap closer I only saw once was Declare Anathema - WH DA'd Magus' minion and positioned himself so precisely so he leaped backwards right at Magus location and killed him.

The WE doesn't have stealth pounce any more.

For a WH, armor debuff, bal, and get back n shoot.

So… you last played a looooooong time ago. A looooong time ago stealth was already 30 seconds only. And now you came back after it was nerfed back to 30 seconds and now it‘s an issue?

Yes, so correctly WE has a pounce (not from stealth), so its still a gap closer a really op one and if you do deathblow, cd is reset.

witch got pounce because she no longer attacks on range, while WH got accusation builder making him virtually semi-rdps. Both have charge ability too now. What tf you else need?
WH-WE mains are truly insufferable. They have every tool imaginable in this game and still cry and cry.

OK, I’ll bite… I’ve played almost all toons since launch. When I played WH/WE stealth was buffed to one minute and I played WH on live when it was 30 secs - but that was way back and game was very different.

Did you have anything else to contribute with or just to tell me to L2P?
