Sorry but losing some Renown when you die is a terrible idea.
I can see people not wanting to accept rezes just for that.

and i really do think losing a small part of your RR upon dying is a good idea. (maybe not in SCs as those can become a spawn camp quite easily and ppl would then not take the risk of getting down from the spawn if overwhelmed).

I don't agree with losing renown on death. It will make people much less likely to take risks.

All too often death isn't ones own fault, it comes from being run over by 30+ people.

A system where you lose renown on death favorites tanks that well never die lol. During a fight there are times where I get 1 shot fester bombed, huge crits kill me very quickly, ect.

With a system that we lose renown in, I'd be much less likely to try to take on large groups. 9 times out of 10 when you take on big groups you die, because of the lack off mass CC (unlike DAoC). It's ok right now, because all you lose is epeen/ego. ^_-

Well currently its 60%+ fopr destro. So alot of players are farming renown aswell. Just a shame people have to change characters to join farm

In the current state of the game the bigger zerg gets 4400 renown for taking 4 BOs and 1 keep. While killing 100 players in a 6 man group, averaging about 30 renown a kill, gives about 3000. In my opinion, we should raise (double) the amount of renown giving for kills. I believe, AAO + a flat raising of renown per kill will encourage fighting. Taking keeps will still be the most efficient way to get renown, but at least those who choose to fight players will be able to keep up.
agreed. it is wrong that zerging npcs gives more rp/xp/inf than pvp.

The problem isn't WHO gets to farm the renown, it's that the only (most) effective way to farm renown.

I'm not one of those people who favors one faction or the others, we all play the same game.

Since Dev's seem to be paying attention to this thread I would like it if I could get the devs opinion on my purposed temporary fix to at least quell some of the frustrations.
