Tho, I do remember BGs being the most tanky.

(Also, Chosen can kind of heal themselves, they have the aura that every-time they defend they are healed. Just nit picking lol )
That's why i asked if they could heal themselves like BG's. I know they can get some healing, but not as much as Bolstering Anger.
Ya, I re-read it after I posted. Your absolutely right, when I read it I read it as, "can they heal themselves". My fault :)

Like I said, I remembered both Chosens and BGs taking huge huge groups of people. I also remember BGs being a little better at it.

Ya, I said something at all, because I mis-read what Penril had said. I knew the BG healing was better, that's why I said I was nit picking. That say Chosen can heal themselves.....just not as well. ^_^

I remember an old friend of mine Anomander (BG on Badlands) being able to tank the entire zerg. lol

burst heal vs heal overtime both have their weak and strong point.
Also bg do not have any damage % reduction buff if spec full tank, toughness tactic would not save you from magic attacks tactic is good tough but it make you equal to chosen in that case), you also do not have so many ap to keep up hold the line, and disrupt tactic it's not so good either a chosen in permanent hold the line..

kite and tank are 2 different things, i know well pretty lot of bg that could kite 2 wbs, but tank!!! that's another matter.
Synio (kobs) tanked like 2 in front of my eyes.

Chosen/ib disrupt tactic work a lot better cos it also regen your wounds.

i think IB can be sturd as chosen but nothing can be like kobs, due the fact that order dps have a lots of ingore defense and so order tank are better suit for being played defensive; when you have a block tank with also resistence aura + regen+ 50% damage reduction nothing can stand so strong as it :/

BG have late game almost near magic immunity with high willpower and the tatic that increases disrupt chance based on hate to have 30% dirsupt chance and the synergy it has with ap and move speed is huge

furthermore m1 that gives health and ap and further sustain with bolstering anger and feeding on weakness self heal

Azareal said that he will be lookign at the balance of the chosen/kotbs ap tatic as the way the current system is it will be a flat 15 ap so dont count on that

Resistance auras put the aura tanks ahead. BG/IB close behind, BO/SM casters will splode' you so fast.

at rank rr 70+ (edit) you have like 200 regen in 3 sec, that are passive if you use regen ura.
The bg regen is trongsest but it work only in 30 sec and have 1 min CD, this mean if ppl wait for you to use the regen and the burst you in that min you're going down

also chosen have disrupt tact that regen

BG not; so chosen have 2 source of regen. + chosen also use absorb tactic this make chosen on pair with BG regen/absorb but also better tue the fact that he have high def and his regen/aborsb work 100% of the time whiel bg one work on a 10/30 seconds rotation.

Chosen get big trouble vs rampage things and bw + und fireballs tactic cos it cannot defend them and if he cannot defend them it cannot proc his regen tools. (always good run near some healer auto attacks  )

Still work better in zerg situation, cos 30% speed to stag , root, kite is nice. also that 30% do not stack with flee but stacked with renow proc and speed talismans.

Coryphaus wrote:I would say that full tank Bg is one of the hardest to kill tanks late game

One of the highest magic resistances and disrupt chances
Tough buff with scaling tough tactic
Absorb shield
Nice self heal on 5s cd
Crit chance reduction up to 45%
Armor buff
And amazing serviceability with 30s of health for only 10 hate per 3 s
Nice self heal with 5s CD? In fullretard you will hit for 150dmg. 150hp each 5s is nothing can keep you alive against most dps clases especialy in T2.

Being a tough DPSer

or

A CC / build time bully in the enemy back line (Not sure about the specific spec though).

Beyond that? Sustain? Not really anything important, really. Chosens/BGs do everything else better lol.

Thanks, that helps.

I was beginning to second guess my tank build anyway.

Big thing I've noticed is that Bright Wizards hit me like a train on my BO even in full tank build. Because of their crit mechanic, they go straight through toughness like it was nothing, and there's no disrupt tactics/builds or meaningful resistance mechanics on BO.

Does anyone use Da Greenest BO ability? I thought it would help, but it seems like it cycles on hit after the hit and only one buff stays up at a time. So if you get hit with a physical damage, it procs an armor buff, but then you get hit by a fireball and it procs an elemental buff, etc...seems like it happens in the wrong order unless you're in a solo fight. Da Toughest doesn't help much if you're getting trained.

I'm definitely jelly of the Chosen resistance aura. It seems like it's around 300 resist at 22-26.
