Toon level for Salvaging

Hi,
Just a small question,

Can a lvl 1-5 toon salvage all kind of levels of gear or it also have to level up for salvage high lvl gear?
I dont remember from the Live.

When you hav salv you can salv everything, but the lower lvl (salvage) you have the lower chance of it giving anything. Like an lvl 4 item vs lvl 2 salv has like an 80% chance. So Yes you can salv, but No it isent very likely to be profitble when doin it
Never done it, cause lvl 10 items shouldnt be that easy to get if you're not that guy that runs to RvR the sec you spawn (you bring nothing)

Character rank has nothing to do with salvaging skill level. As long as you have appropriate lvl in salv you can break down equipment .

so you just can make a toon, just for da the salvaging, noting else

you can, but then you'd be missing out on some purple rewards and some other good items that are bound on pickup.
