Don't use 2hander on tanks. Period.
To some extent ib can get away with it since the their naturally tanky plus grumble and mutter

and you still have a lot of grp utility with your various buffs and unlike tanks you dont really lose access core tactic or ability by going 2h

Dps blorcs are pretty strong now, i dont think they need auto detaunt anymore even if it was re considered

but man i wish that choppa armor debuff could be re added to the 2h tree

Well, there is one tank class that may be acceptable with 2-hander. Full-def kotbs with runefang and m2 morale. In that way for 30 sec when m2 is ready you can softcap all stats both defensive and offensive.

lol no 2h kotbs is awful, its like playing 2h slayer or 2h bg its an inferior playstyle compared to what you can do with SnB

2hander is needed to guarantee that runefang will be proced most of the time

I used to play my kotbs on live as def 2h, its far from awful, sure you would be better off as snb cookie cutter, boring spec but 2h can work very well when spec correctly and more so the higher the level and more mastery points u have to spend.
I just think ppl automatically assume 2h tank = squishy no guard tank.

Kotbs is the best defensive tank in the game, go 2h and you miss out on some of the bs in the class espically for grp play and in exchange you get what a wound debuff?

Your not using the full potential of the class, yeah i saw kotbs with 70% parry and stuff on live but that was with rr 100 If you want to go 2h on ordo your better off going ib or SM and also the other guys entire basis for saying 2h kotbs is based on some 30s m2 soft cap

what? you cant proc parry with SnB? since when did that start happening?

you toss a guard on someone and you never have issues with runefang uptime and you wont be as squishy with guard dmg as 2h

I agree with you but they are far from awful, mainly because of runefang and emperors champion.

thats why i compared them to something like 2H slayer

their not "awful" (perhaps i should have picked a better phrase) but rather easily overshadowed by the other alternatives/playstyle available to the class

With shield there's a chance that a hit/guard damage will get blocked instead of parried, no?
