Dual wield for SM and a shield for the WP?

as a black orc with the appearance of a choppa i can confirm they are just that appearance items that was in live and are ofc here from specific PQ rewards.
idk of the ones for other classes i only knew of this one as i played a BO on live and had the same there.

In the Tabletop Game a Warrior Priest could dual wield, have a twohanded hammer and hammer and shield. From the looks of them the hammer and shield is quite close to the "D&D priest"-look. Could think that was one major reason that kind of WP never made it into the game. The guy was also the least often shown in WD or other ressources.
With a shield WP I know with which character to farm high ranked heroes

As an appearance item I am all in on that idea...
I have seen a shield looking like a sword (rank 2?). But no appeaarance item and bind on pickup.

Which edition? Afaik it was only hammers,2h or dual wield.

Pfff... say that to a sturdy ass Black Orc with shield, the Squig Herders range attack or the Goblin Shaman (o_O) They're damn nasty for Order beginners...

A shield would mean, no ressource regen, which would make him heavily reliant on ap and his regen channel not being interupted.
Probably not as op as you might think.

True, if a shield did not give them any RF regen, it wouldn't be very useful.

There is a little problem though which was stated above. It adds confusion. If you mistake a black orc for choppa or even a 2hander tank for shield tank it may cost your group their lives.

I have to say, that a Swordmaster with shield seems pretty sluggish to me. I guess greatswords are more fitting for this role. It can take a pretty long time to get your opponent down with a one handed sword, compard to those pretty effective 2H strokes. Of course does it depends on your playstyle as well.

They can't
There is SHIELD with a view like 1h sword for BOs - but this is an actually shield. It can be obtained somwhere in T2 elf pve zones for influense or after some quest - I forgot
I have this at live game and was happy to kosplay Choppas

Have no idea if there is an item with same graphical bug for BG or anyone else

There is also a shield for KotBS that has the look of a 1h.

I mirror the sentiment that having cool or outlandish appearance items would be nice.

However, I think a Warrior Priest with a shield would be one of the most overpowered things in the game lol.

Just for appearance. Not changing mechanics.
