thats not how the game is designed

the best gear is ALWAYS supposed RvR gear, pve gear should never be equal to rvr stuff

Then nobody will use pve gear, unless it's super easy to obtain :|

When the game was first released, the renown grind was rather lengthy, because of this people used both sentinel and darkpromise sets to optimize their characters/specs since some stats on the rvr gear were for one, garbage, and they could also use those sets for some time since grinding up-to warlord and beyond took a considerable amount of time back then.

The main problem with pve is that even on live, instances like BRB and LV were an absolute buggy nightmare, it made fights like n'kari stupid since it just wasn't working properly. How this will translate onto ROR we will have to see, but considering the state of pve on live, it's hard to expect it to work here.

Right up until Mythic introduced RR81-100 and nerfed the renown needed for renown ranks PvE dungeon gear was definitely used. Obtaining full sets of PvP gear was a nightmare and either needed loads of gold (Invader?), luck on fortress sieges, luck in city sieges, etc.

In addition, the concept of wards meant that you had to get a full set of one "tier" (not as in tier 1/2/3, but lesser ward, greater ward, etc) of equipment before you could do dungeons and get the next set or else you would be facing up to 100% extra damage from the NPCs (I really hope that isn't introduced again).

Let us not forget just how good the LotD items were either. Tyrant armour was great for def tanks, the jewel set was great, the pocket items granting giant absorb bubbles were great, etc.

It wasn't until the changes introduced with RR100 that PvE gear became a lot crapper than it needed to be and/or PvP gear became easier to obtain.

LoTD was the perfect example of my statement that RvR gear should always be better than PvE stuff

Everything in LoTD, brought so many balance issues, pocket items and crit glyphs and stuff broke tier balance and the stuff like the jewels easily out classed other alternatives

It was a mess

@druin

it is not just pve, what about capitals , keep chest? these are all things related to script and pq, you cannot have a working t4 without have these things working, i'm glad they will be finally able to work on these things.

Also loosing agro vs keep lord is getting quite boring -.-
I'm happy about this decision, really also i think that gunband is the most fun dungeon inside war.
I cant wait to kill again the secret boss.

Good memories of LV, but god damn it could be buggy, from the random 1 shots even if you had all the wards to the orbs messing up on N'Kari. I also remember the last fight in Bilerot being quite the pain when he swallows you kind of like C'thun back in AQ40, I imagine that **** is gonna be hard to get working if it can be done.

The pve gear was really useful though like others have said, lotd and rr100 put an end to it really though, which was a shame.

Gunbad was the closest thing to DAOC's Darkness Falls dungeon. I think it would be insanely appropriate and epic in RoR's current release. Especially if there's a reason to be in there.
Word of Pain and Boiling Blood are no longer able to proc anything. The Bright Wizard College has confirmed this is a big deal. (stealth nerf)

To ROR crew, thank for your work and also for your vision of WAR/ROR. Adding PVE content is a good new to hear, we are already enjoying the future PvE on with one you gonna work. By the way, in general, everytime you unlock an area, a tier, or something different, it's a whole new world to explore and to considerer as a player. What is fun with your unlocks is that every pieace of Warhammer you implement adds a complement of WARHAMMER that is abble to change the whole metagame. I like it, i got the feeling to play a different game every major patch deployed.

GG for the wok done and GL for the work you will have to make.
