I'm all for gold wiping the econ. And I'm already aware myself, that the drop rates are incorrect off mobs. Azrael has stated this already, as Dana reiterated such. Really isn't much more to discuss, knowing the alpha state of the game the way it is, and what the code is.
The splurge of gold in a select% of players will not last.

Re: Drop rates
The reason for my original post was draw attention to the current state of the game. The job of the players is to play the game, have fun, and figure out what needs to be fixed. Reducing the amount of time spent hunting items and grinding levels takes away from what WAR is really about...WAR! In it's nature the game is about having the best items and the highest level/RR to be the most efficient that your class can be. Player customization and unique items is what makes MMORPGs such an interesting and engaging genre. The ability to truly make your character yours in a fantasy setting is a great feeling, but the downside to this of course is the artificial middle man called time.
Time has value, and in the classic MMO model time works as a great tool to create artificial worth and investment into digital items that you are forced borrow month by month. A company holds the keys to access, and that access to the time and real world money the player has invested means a great deal to the player. I ask to let the player have more control. Outside of a business model, without limitations of stockholders and a bottom line, let WAR be about kicking ass and having a hell of a time.

Re: Drop rates
Azareal is working on fixing the drop rate/item database obviously that takes time
The problem is that as it was mentioned before when the game went endless trial mythic made drop rates for items like shoulders low so that it would be harder to make twinks but since it was stated that even the devs feel the current grind is excessive and it's reflected by the players too blackguard has one of the lowest player char counts of all the classes, is it becuse Bg is a bad class? Heck no it's because the class has such terrible drop rates, to full gear his class properly my brother had to spend 50-60g the gale runner shoulders alone were 29g that's with no bq, no lover gear, no jewels
They have wiped gold once and I can see them doing it again I bet they are just trying to find source of or how to preform dupe bug
Lastly if you notice in destro wc's there is an npc called raven host supplier he used to sell mounts now his wares are empty; devs had promised more t2 gear vendors some time ago I bet this is it
Lastly there were some people in the previous thread who mocked us about our complaints, were not compliang about the grind to level up even though it's a lot harder now with no quests it's the big gear difference or atleast the ease of acess too
Ordo has pretty easy acess to bloody and gale gear as well as +12 jewels due to higher drop rates and your best ally telling us to accept it and settle for gale
And that too with massive greedflation on destro with sky rocketing prices that are apperantly justified due the fact that 5% of the destro player pop knows a exploit

Re: Drop rates
They already know drop rates are wrong. The framework for drops is likely wrong. It wont be a hard fix when they get around to it as drop list were only based on mob tier. So there were only 44 regular mob gear drop lists, a few drop lists for creature type and the lists for named hero/lord mobs.

Re: Drop rates
There are very much topics on drop rates! And on every topic we gave an answer that the drop and loot system is bugged and we are going to fix it. We said that this will take much time because it's very complex. There is no need for discussing the same thing on different topic!Ley wrote:Dear DANA!!!
"The drop system is already wrong."
Azarael already said it. Topic locked.
Why would you close the thread Dana ? Why not give us a solution? Do something with the gold exploit...don't just go easy closing threads. Be more useful .
Drop rates are **** , consider we are Alpha phase...increase rates...and stop closing threads when players are right.

Re: Drop rates
As if there are no more important things than items. I assume people blame items, when they die in rvr/sc.
Dying is no option.
Re: Drop rates
First of all if there does exist some kind of gold exploit (maybe Azarael will explain?), it must be solved.
It is extremely easy to get highest level 12 in current version of WAR. Time estimation: 1 day max.
It is quite easy to get highest RR level 20 in current version of WAR. Time estimation: 2-5 days max.
It is not so easy to get the bestest gear ever, as you need either to be lucky, or to grind gold (find mob, kill mob, loot mob, once in a while sell grey junk/put green junk into AH repeat) to buy it from those more lucky. Do you need the bestest gear (ie. +10-12 Strength total compared to Gale-Runner) to be competitive? NO.
At the same time I'd like to ask people who seek, let's politely name it, "easier way to get bestest gear available", if they will really play the game after reaching their goal. I highly doubt it, as, let me quote excellent Shmerrick's post again:
Creating another thread to discuss the matter already closed by developer/moderator, flaming developer/moderator or their actions are considered bannable offense in all game projects. Developers already invest great deal of their personal time into project and do not deserve such attitude, especially considering vocal minority usually represents less than 5 % of players.
[/Old dev/mod rant]
If I understand this statement right, player's goal is to get: highest level, highest RR level, top/best/unique gear.Shmerrick wrote:In it's nature the game is about having the best items and the highest level/RR to be the most efficient that your class can be. Re: Drop rates
So basicly, if the mod / dev don't like a thread they can just "Oh man, let's just close this, no reason." and if someone opens up the discussion, that wasn't even any discussing in, that/those person/people will get banned? Also if you question the behavior and reasoning of the developers and/or mods you get banned? Abuse of power much?OldPlayer wrote: [Old dev/mod rant]

Is this your first online project? I really do not want to sound harsh, but that is how the real world works.satekh wrote: So basicly, if the mod / dev don't like a thread they can just "Oh man, let's just close this, no reason." and if someone opens up the discussion, that wasn't even any discussing in, that/those person/people will get banned? Re: Drop rates
It doesnt take long to get useable gear, so I really dont know what the issue is.
sure its not the bestofthebestofthebestofthebest, but seriously as others have said, it's an alpha build. with average gear you're able to have some good fun.
