With how the server is now, thinks update too slow for the mod and it really falls short, it also runs into other problems.
For instance, for a while I tried putting the MDPS M1 on my torment, and set it for ~15% hp threshold but it takes like ~2 seconds to update and a lot of things can change in that amount of time, or it can use a skill in between and put you on a GCD when you really just needed to hit your M1.
Ended up just binding it to "e" and using it normally.
As for skillcap/ceiling I don't think it effects it at all, if anything it lowers it, the only thing it does do it bring the skillfloor up for new/bad players. A lot of people hate it and think it is some kind of wonder script that turns anyone into a pro, but in this game mechanical skill really means jackshit compared to positioning and picking targets. And at high level play communication for stuff like callouts, peels, debuffs etc... mean more than anything. You can't "carry" in warhammer online. It's very much a team game and you skill/ability is tied very much to your group.

Re: Nerfed buttons
Just hit the buttons yourself
Things like nerfedbuttons and macros should banable IMO.
I remember on live Sorcs would macro their entire rotation into one mouse or keyboard button. This would allow for them to always have perfect timing, so their abilities would hit at the exact same timestamp every single time.
MMOs have a lot enough skill cap to begin with, without needing to cheat.

Re: Nerfed buttons
Premades should be bannable also. So as BW and sorcs.

I know your joking, but those analogies aren't remotely similar.Soulcheg wrote:Premades should be bannable also. So as BW and sorcs.
Premades often fight other premades, which makes for some of the best fighting in the game.
Playing in a group often increases skill cap rather than lowing it (calling peels, assisting, peeling, moving as a group and working together).
Just ban BW....those things are OP

Re: Nerfed buttons
I'm using macros to fast invite mah friend in party, to fast emote, etc, etc. Should GM ban me because of me using macros?
Re: Nerfed buttons
It seems like your trying to argue for the sake of arguing, but your doing it by using piss poor and ridiculous analogies. (Strawman much?)Soulcheg wrote:I'm using macros to fast invite mah friend in party, to fast emote, etc, etc. Should GM ban me because of me using macros?
How are you infering that macros to play your character are the same thing as chat macros?
Re: Nerfed buttons
I'm afraid I agree. They're not remotely comparable. The problem is not macros per se, or that an action gives advantage. The problem is that the use of the addon itself gives advantage through removing elements of the game (execution and partially decision-making) - in which there is room for error.
