SH AA damage not insrease from tactics. (Part 1)

There is good points on both sides, but the conversation deviated hard. It was supposed to be question whether TA should increase AA damage considering the tooltip description.

IMHO I think TA fine as it is; a tactic that helps to emphasize AOE damage for WB play.

mSH are ,indeed, meant to mess backlines and the changes to melee spec were a great start, but it is an unfinished/unpolished job. There is a lot of down time when AOEing. Its cooldowns are very long, 2 skills at 20sec CD and one at 8sec, no spamable. They do have a few tools, but it is nowhere near to what some are mentioning. Also, people tend to make it seem like a tank with tons of AOE potential, I have played it extensively in both 6man and WB and you can build him as a soft AOE debuffer, soft ST 'burst' or tanky and anoying with next to 0 damage. You can't be the 3 at the same time.

All that considered I don't believe TA should be changed, but the class needs a look.

Ye sure lets make tons of melee squig burst much more highter.. Squig melee dps almost like wl's and he defensive like a tank and you want more buff's ?

Do you even read yourself? " to mess up the backline in largescale environments" - its just **** lol xD

Learn how to play the class and you'll see how good and disruptive it can be (AoE Cd incr, AoE KB, AoE channeled KB, decent AoE damage) - while maintaining decent ST pressure (refer to image above).

Ask Balloon or Zupah for some tips, perhaps.

As far as I remember rockfeller has a damage focused build. He probably runs with 3-4k armor and good amount of defenses (similar to a WL). You can get away with using a pet in small scale or sc, but ZvZ there is no way.

This is way it should be looked at to polished certain things. Again, I think TA should not increase AA damage as OP was asking :b


PS: To get that burst you have sacrifice a tactic slot just to make git em stronger, not all SH will hit the same in ST or AOE and not all are super tanky. It all depends on you tactic and gear set up.
