DPS focused KOBTS with shield and sword.

Hey there, in this thread I would like to know what you think of my car "build". Before you start flaming or calling me a bloody idiot, I want you to know that I am a very "casual" player, and I focus more on my PvE experience rather than RvR.Seeing as this is my only car that I play and that I tend to focus more on looks and fun rather than competitiveness, this build I probably going to look very strange.

Gear:
Full Ruin except for greaves of the dire wolf (T4 lair gear), all pieces with Stngh +13/14 talis

Wep: Ironwind (T4 epic quest wep) and Vanguard heather of the survivalist.

I also have full path of conquest.

Now all of this might seem a bit like I don't really know what I'm doing (and I don't, as I said, I only play when I have no work to do) but I was hoping if perhaps you could tell me if this is just a joke of a build or what I absolut would have to change.
I also have Dawn( T4 epic quest 2H wep)

Anyways, thank you for your time and see you and the Battlefield.

I like it. Can you also link your build?

Knight get's easily carried defensively by it's abilities no need to focus on being tanky via gear, the only situations it will help is fighting the zerg in ORvR where it might just be your group vs an entire WB. So going for merc gear and offensive weapons/jewelry should be fine.

However knight is I feel pigeon holed into this particular spec to be optimal

Those 4 tactics have major impact on group play, it's crazy to think you get a buff tactic that gives you +750 stats almost and you don't use it because there are better ones. Running with IB allows you if you want swap out aoe snare for shatter confidence or runefang.

The super punt is the best guard removal and threat removal tool in the game, the AoE snare is one of the best control tools, and the two 10% crit tactics boosts your teams damage and healing significantly. 10% crit for both your DPS and off tank is going to add more damage than 240 ws and str for yourself sadly.

Only time you would go 2h on knight is if you were running double knight group and had the other one speced SnB for dirty tricks.

This is all of course strictly following the meta, if you want you could take this build and tweak it a bit, drop a tactic for runefang, maybe spec a bit more into conquest for scaling and have a more DPS oriented build that you might have more fun with personally.

Hi,

I play this build for months with my mate ( i prefer to be off tank than deftard ) it works very well.

I put str tali, str belt and cloak, resist jewelry and sometime switch to 2H.

I try ruin/merc armor it's good but you might not want to be super defensive because when you show your shield nobody will target you anymore, and don't forget your panic button "VIGILANCE".

Tonight i will try full merc and switch resist jewelry wih str rings.

What about Glory tree?

Slice Through is great, but i love Heavens Fury + you dont need wep.skill as much - your Glory attacks ignore armor and you have innate debuff. BB becomes main attack, SC and VS works even better, SF for ap and teamwork (or swap FM for RF or whatever you like)

That's what i was thinking about. The aoe heal debuff seem's OP, isn't it a must have in rvr? I guess you can mix things up when you have more than 1 kotbs
